The gameplay in this is super fun! The ink cart chasing you is really well-balanced, it feels like the perfect difficulty. I definitely found it confusing at first, since you don't start off with any tasks I thought you were supposed to clean up the ink spots. I also didn't understand what Rx5 meant for a while but eventually figured it out. I love how hectic the game gets once you're weaving in between a whole bunch of ink spots on the ground, if there were some way to occasionally remove a few ink spots or expand the map then the game could keep on going forever. Very cool! :)

It's an interesting concept, doing tasks as fast as possible while trying to avoid the deadly cart for as long as possible, but the execution is where it falls apart.

The graphics hurt my eyes a lot because they're very, very bright blues and greens with little saturation and very similar lightness values to each other, so it's hard to see the text for tasks or score without squinting. I'd recommend looking into color theory and how to make color palettes.

It's also pretty repetitive and outside of getting the "go left/right" tasks you're just gonna be walking in circles mashing the same button five times. The cart dropping ink is a nice concept to help keep it interesting but it gets very hard without any way for the ink to clean up, especially with a large hitbox like the player has.

It's definitely an alright game, though, just needs a lot more work and polish to make it interesting and visually appealing.

This game was fun I spent a lot of time trying to get a high score (7 due to a bug). The sound design was great one addition that would be cool would be getting rid of paint somehow like every 4 points some removes. Great game overall :D

fun and new idea, it just needed more polish

Colors like black and grey still count as colors, the total amount has to be 4. So you could've done one blue, one green,  black and white

Developer (1 edit)

they are shades tho arent they? o btw by that logic ur game has 5 colours (black, white, grey, brown and a darker white just saying)

i only use 4 colors (black, white, brown and a lighter brown), and the "extra color" you mean is because of the black vignette I used, which counts as post-processing. You can only use the 4 colors you choose but the post-processing does not add to the amount of colors

so ur saying that a shade is a colour but a color on a effect is not? (yeah you u have 4 but still)
