This is so cute!! I love the hand-drawn art style and the face sprite for the towers is so cute :)

thank you! I'm definitely looking at using this as a framework for more games moving forward :) glad you enjoyed!

Super cool! Love to see 3d stuff on Gameboy, very excited to see how this could be expanded

This is a great mechanic for a puzzle game! I ran into some minor physics issues, mostly based off of the game not being locked to a grid, and I wasn't sure how to tell which pistons pushed further, but other than that this is super fun! I could totally see more levels and mechanics being added to a full version to make a really cool puzzle game.

This is super cool! As the other comments mentioned it is really difficult, especially without any sort of shadow to show what's underneath you. I think with that, some checkpoints, and maybe some sort of distance fog to show how far away stuff is this could be even more fun. Obviously that's a lot to implement in just 72 hours, though. What you have here is really fun.

The gameplay in this is super fun! The ink cart chasing you is really well-balanced, it feels like the perfect difficulty. I definitely found it confusing at first, since you don't start off with any tasks I thought you were supposed to clean up the ink spots. I also didn't understand what Rx5 meant for a while but eventually figured it out. I love how hectic the game gets once you're weaving in between a whole bunch of ink spots on the ground, if there were some way to occasionally remove a few ink spots or expand the map then the game could keep on going forever. Very cool! :)

I found the controls a little stiff but I love the dynamic of balancing attacking the enemies and the big hexagons with defending your own objective at the same time. Very cool!

Thank you so much for the feedback! :)

Thank you for the feedback! The artwork is 3D renders which are scaled down, dithered, color indexed, and then redrawn in sections where I thought it was needed for clarity. Thanks for playing :)

Thank you for the feedback! I definitely want to see if I can implement mouse controls for the web version. Thanks for playing :)

Thank you for playing!

I really like this! Definitely tough but there's a satisfying sense of progression with the upgrades and I like the fact that it takes multiple shots to kill the enemies, you really have to play strategically. Nice work :)

Super cool! A little tough at first but once I got the hang of it it was really fun. You made really good use of the color limitation and I can definitely see the potential to flesh this out with more tasks, enemies etc. Good job!

Very cool! I love that you managed to incorporate the color limitation into the actual gameplay.

Super fun! You balanced this really well, it's the perfect difficulty. Love all the effects and screen shake and stuff.

Super fun! I love how chaotic it gets towards the end. Can totally see the potential to flesh this out to a full game. Well done! :)

Thank you!

Thank you so much for the feedback! I'm glad you enjoyed. As for the artwork, they are 3D renders which are scaled down, dithered, color indexed, and then redrawn in parts where I thought it was necessary.  I will definitely look into adding mouse controls, I think it would be a better play experience for the browser version. Thanks again! :)

I really enjoyed this! It's a good difficulty level and the upgrade system is a super cool inclusion that definitely feels like it gives you interesting choices. Very fun!

(1 edit)

I like the gameplay, it definitely keeps me engaged and I liked that the difficulty ramps up as you go.

I really like the main gameplay mechanic, it gives me real FNAF vibes and idk why it stresses me out so much.  It's also cool that you managed to include difficulty settings in a game made in such a short period of time.

I like the idea of the gameplay and some of the dialogue is funny. I think it might be fun if the game moved a little faster so there was a time pressure to move everyone through, since you always have enough time to check everyone there's not much difficulty. The game stopped working after Ziad but I enjoyed what I played :)

Is there a file to download / does this play in browser? I can't tell if I'm missing the Downloads section or it's just not there.

I can't get this to run :( it says UnityPlayer.dll was not found.

Really fun! I like how fast you made the lava move upwards, it really makes it tense and adds a challenge

Glad you had fun! Good idea with the map marker, just updated to add a dot to show the player's location. Thanks for playing! :)

Thanks, glad you enjoyed!

Thank you!

Super cool, I love the idea of RPG combat where you're trying to survive as long as possible.

A pretty ingenious mix of Tetris and Dr. Mario, really cute and a very clever puzzle system!

Super fun! I love this kind of gameplay, it's a super cool way to translate the sort of Resident-Evil-style exploration into the constraints of the Gameboy. Very very well done!

Wow, I really liked this! Some super effective horror and really creepy artwork. Great work!

Very cool! Impressive how much you were able to make from the fairly limited GBStudio tools (especially the platformer gametype)

Short but sweet. Nice work!

Pretty fun! Would have been nice to have an endless high-score mode but other than that a really fun time!

Very fun and polished! If I had to make a suggestion I would say the different shapes are a little hard to tell apart, especially with some of the later color palettes. Other than that, though, I really enjoyed it. Great work!

This is really impressive, especially for something made in such a short time as this jam. I love the art style, it's detailed but always very clear. Also, having the ability to press start for an explanation of what to do is a genius idea especially for Gameboy games. Fantastic work!
