There's a lot to love here... the excellent name, the overall sense of humour, the resource-gathering aspect. Very nice.

Very impressive for 3 days! The animations are hilarious, I love them so much. It has a lot of polish, like sounds and health bars. Very unique mix of genres. Awesome job! :DDD

First off, I loved the running animation.

I had a fun time running around blasting stuff; I got the voodoo staff early on and every other weapon I found didn't seem to be as good. I did get annoyed that once your inventory is full, you can't drop stuff, but you still "pick up" things off the ground (which seem to just get destroyed). So if I saw a cool thing on the ground, I had to craft something to waste some resources and make an empty slot so I could pick it up.

Shame you haven't started on 1 of the jam. As it stands it's still impressive for 3 days, but I think you should have scoped down to have a tighter game with less content.

The paladin enemies can shoot offscreen which can feel quite unfair. My favourite bug though is the wizard not resetting it's buff and somehow doubling it when re-equipping it, resulting in this laser of death - wizardry indeed:

This may be overly ambitious for a jam game, but I like the idea. I like the idea so much that I actually already have an eerily similar WIP non-jam game (top-down shooter, play as a hooded mage holding a staff, fight trees / rocks / enemies for resources and recipes, craft weapons).

Being able to drop items is an important missing feature, or maybe I just couldn’t figure out how.

There were 3 of us, and we started on Friday so we made this in 3 days. Could have done a lot more had we started at the start of the JAM.

It's not you, there are some inventory bugs that we didn't have time to fix.

Nice to hear you liked the game!

Oh okay that’s very impressive for 3 days, nice job!

Really intrigued by the idea of a "loot horde survivor game." Seems very worthy of exploring. It took me a while to figure out what on earth was going on -- how to equip items, etc. For anyone else reading, you need to drag the item to the slot in the bottom left that is specific to the item type. Hats, Weapons, and Armor must go to their respective slots.

Hunting down the last enemy in a level wasn't super fun, and once my inventory filled up I didn't really feel like there was a point in continuing to play.

Bit of a typo in the description:
> rouge

And a couple bug reports:

- No damage numbers are emitted on a killing blow

- Tooltips on crafting or inventory screen get stuck when closing that screen

Developer

We ran out of time to fix some of the inventory bugs (tool tips, removing items, etc...).

Didn't know damage numbers are missing on killing blow. If we come back to fix the bugs in the game we'll look into that.

the player walk animation is excellent. I couldn't figure out how to equip things and still am unsure how I did it. Neat game

Developer

Press E to open your inventory. Weapons go in the top slot, head gear in the middle slot, and the torso clothing goes in the right slot.

It was nice enough - very clean look, clean, working gameplay, some fun was had!

I enjoyed playing it a lot. It was fun dealing with the different enemy types and something about the player's walking animation just made me laugh.

The combination of crafting and rouge-like gameplay was really interesting and unique, something I hadn't seen before.

I did encounter a fairly major bug where I couldn't craft or collect anything because I filled my inventory will wood and stone with no way to dump it. This seems pretty major since the presence of a  crafting system does encourage players to collect resources on mass(Fallout 4 duct tape style). Items would still get collected but as far as I could tell they got deleted which is a shame.

Bug aside it was really fun playing this game.
