  • Cool game, nice graphic style. The overall experience was low due to the steep learning curve that was kind of approached by a wall of text solution. If this was more of an active tutorial the experience mark would have been much higher. In terms of innovation i think the hidden voice is a cool concept and goes with the entire story/theme but the experience really dulled the overall game.
  • I appreciated how your game adhered to the theme, particularly the innovative use of an inner voice as the companion, which was a creative touch. However, despite these thematic strengths, I found the overall gameplay experience to be quite basic and, unfortunately, not very enjoyable.
  • Really nice art style and concept but controls and game were quite hard to understand. The tutorial being a large text wall also was a bit too much. The fighting was quite satisfying when I was able to land hits but bugs with the enemy disappearing when he got low and nothing happening when the time runs out hurt the experience

Hey    10jū  !

How are you?

My name is Ilias.

I tested your game "supajutsu_prototype" ,

I have some feedbacks, thoughts, and questions.

The loading at the begining was progressing correctly then it takes to much time !

The control issues was already menioted by others , also the tutorials .

Did you include any optimisation techniques or did you rather chose to include only the in-engine ones.

what engine and tools did you use to create your game , your graphics ?

was it hard to develop your game ? did you experienced any challenges ?

what inspired you for your game idea , and the gameplay ? The Game's name ? The characters names as well ?

Thanks!

-Ilias .

Cool looking and an interesting storyline! Just some problems with controls, hope it will be fixed after the game jam. Would be happy to play :)

Graphics were pretty cool, but I was unable to get something done due to the controls.

For a next jam, I would suggest looking at some current popular brawlers and literally just take those inputs - this would make it familiar for first time users :)

Regardless, within the jam, this was a pretty neat entry. Think you did a good job!

Idk why but as I jumped into the game, I got a Japanese arcade vibe. Really well done on the artwork and animations tbh. A master/student storyline is a great storyline plot.

The onboarding controls thing was an issue for me as well, I'm sure you're aware of it & have seen your response to it as well.

I think this would have been a really good MK/SF type of game in this jam. But nevertheless, good work on the submission!

The controls are a bit complicated. Thanks for explaining it in the game.
At first I decided to skip the allowance, but then I regretted it :)

I’m sorry, I tried really hard, followed the tutorial 3 times, but I had a hard time grasping the controls. I like the animation though, it feels good and reactive with inputs, I’d love to understand it a bit better and not have the tutorial come in the the way indeed.

Thanks for playing and for the feedback. I apologize about the tutorial as I do need to get better at making them. However, one of the main flaws with the tutorial is that the data from the configfiles is being saved and loaded from an improper location, data needed to turn off tutorial. If you’re interested stay tuned for the update.
