Welp, it's a yollie's game, we're all cooked 😔 lol jokes aside, this really shows the power of juice in a game. Literally. One might look at it and say yeah it has great polish & simple but under the hood it does so many things to make it look simple & effortless. And what can I even say about the VFX, yollie you wizard. Love the artstyle too. Great great fun and you lose time when you catch the rhythm. I do wish the UI was less 3D red blue as that was hard on my eyes but maybe that's just me. The batman arkham games style combat is nicely captured (which is a great choice of combat) but there are moments where it breaks the flow as there might be a cooldown possibly? Overall, great jam entry!

Love the UI, Great work by Erick! 👏👏 ACHIEVEMENTS?? damn that took me by surprise and is impressive for a game jam entry! It took me a bit to get used to finding the rhythm but that's probably just me haha. Complete game but The one thing that I would say needs work is the look of the game, it can be greatly improved by using any free toon shader from the asset store, I would suggest to give it a shot, other than that, nice idea to keep the egg alive as it provides more depth and strategical angle to the gameplay!

Okay, I went into this game thinking it might be another run around & shoot game, but the fact that you have one bullet only and you have to basically train the enemies for as long as possible without dying or mentally losing patience completely transforms the game itself. GREAT and I mean GREAT game design on that, by basically 'cutting out' that part of run & shoot you add much more to the game. The waiting to train is hard on the patience of the player some way to remove that bit would go a long way! I think there is a bug where I did train for quite a bit but then I held & shot instantly and the ray did not detect all of the 30+ enemies but maybe 15. Great jam entry :D

One of the two one shot bouncing around the level game! Super polished & a full complete game, great attention to details as well. I really do think you should pursue this for a full steam release. The fact that the bullet goes on forever is great game design as the bullet running out of energy. So the player can just wait & wait or restart to try again with better angles. There are two things that I think could be done better which is:  the levels could be more complex as that would add layers of depth to the game & I think adding the time to the scoring system would really motivate the player to try again & again. But those would be good if you're planning to go for the steam release 😉Otherwise, it's awesome for a jam entry! Well Done! 👏

Grappling mechanics are extremely popular & one of the top 5 mechanics that almost every one has fun with.  Simple and straight to the fun, The scream sound FX is a very good choice, instead of showing confidence it gives off the 'guy becomes superhero but he is very scared' which is hilarious😂 I like how you don't instant die when you go off the bottom of the screen & there is some buffer, it really lets the player feel 'smart' and powerful as they have the 'made it' moments! The lamp is an interesting choice between it adds depth to the level, I can see myself just spam-going if it wasn't for the lamp! Overall, Great fun!

Thank you for playing & the feedback! :D

So they're called perler beads, haha. Oh yes, it is definitely more than 'isn't too bad' it's solid, I was just curious & if you ever do put up a steam page, do hmu with the link. I'll get it for sure :)

Thank you for playing & leaving a feedback! Yup those points have been noted as other players also faced similar issues, will improve them down the line! 😁

Yep I think it would give more character to the game as well too!

Thank you, yes the controls & overall understanding does take a few plays 😅

Glad you enjoyed!

Thank you so much! Looking into making the game more 'complete' too!

Thank you for taking the time to leave a detailed feedback! I had challenged myself to step outside of my comfort genre's for this game jam & that has led to more areas of improvement than I thought but I am welcoming them with open arms as I see the player's perspective. :D

I've been noting all the issues down. All in all a few days of work & the game balance will improve massively (hitbox values, spawn range) I think the biggest challenge would be controls but having 2-3 control schemes (the directional ones as you mentioned & even control mapping) would cater to every player.

Again thank you for playing it & helping me improve the game!

No worries, I do my best to support fellow game devs! That's awesome to hear 😁All the best too!

Thank you! Yes as you can expect, ran out of time for SFX but would love to juice it up more by adding that in.

Thank you, happy to hear you had tons of fun! Awh man, It sucks to have that bug still lingering around, I did spend some time on removing it but it still persists 😅
I do have an interesting idea to combat that though, basically if the player goes on the outside, a screen with a popup saying 'What are you doing on the outside? Get back in there' or something and then put the player back in ahahha kind of like the game breaking 4th wall, what do you think?

Thank you so much for your kind words!!

Yup, I totally understand your points as after receiving various feedback, the game balance has areas of improvement that can boost the overall experience, I am noting all the points down, will definitely try to improve those areas :D

Yeah, that was kinda unplanned, once I uploaded the build, the way HYPLAY works, I had to add auto-guest sign in. I think its still nice cause alot of people want to jump into the game and without signing in you cant really play so, some want their names on the leaderboard so that option is there haha

Ah those are just hitbox size things 😅

No probs, happens to all of us (literally), congrats on the submission & all the best 😁

Damn, you hit the AI lottery in that sense, I have never gotten good AI without implementing complex conditional code 😂I did not know about round-robin as well until now!

Yes, It really shows the love & care that was put in the game!
Also, While giving feedback on other games, I've seen your comments giving detailed feedback (even for my game). I just wanted to appreciate that cause you're helping out the devs so much by doing that c:

Oh okay, I think I got it, basically unlocking guns mess with the game balance so you made it harder to get them aka skill graph. I think letting the player know about how to unlock even if on the itch description would help alot so the more competitive players can chase the guns unlocking!

Thank you, glad you enjoyed it! Just waiting for the HYPLAY sign in issue to be solved, will play your game then!

Ahaan, that does make sense, anyhow congrats on the submission ( i think you're onto your next jam? or was it somebody else but all the best for that  & this GJ as well 💪)

Best GIF ever

This is literally a full complete game. DAMN man. The UI, the transitions, the VFX, the sounds, the artwork. Very impressive to bring all fronts together in a game jam. The enemy attacks where you have moved - now that is such an interesting game mechanic - The fact that if you die its cause of your own mistake & you have to strategically think on your feet while moving itself. I could go on for a bit about how such a mechanic is really awesome to have but not gonna do that here and focus on your game 😂 I do wish there was a difficulty button cause it was slightly hard for me although after a while you do catch on so make what you will of that, Great to see how this has turned out. Top notch quality 👏

While one might think that recreating games is no big deal, recreating games that capture the essence of the original game is a different story, this game captures the feeling perfectly well. I found myself in a rhythm after a while  which again can only happen if things like controls, anims, the AI, no bugs etc all work in synergy. I do wish some twist was there that would have added on top of the core mechanic.

Idk if its just me but I couldn't shake off that its NOT a slime but a plasmic orb 😂I think this is one of the 2 games that has sort of a color based gameplay so that adds to its already unique style/gameplay. I would suggest to add more juice but otherwise the game loop is as simple, nice, addictive ^^ well done! 👏

Simple yet fun. The choice of clicking on enemy to attack/move through is a very good game design imo and makes the attacking much more fun than if you had traditional attacking input.
The game keeps the player on their toes but I do wish there was slightly more variety in terms of giving player the advantage, it does get repetitive after a while :/ However, putting that aside, the core mechanic is really well done & polished.

The artwork is great, The level design is also really nice, does feel slightly empty at times but maybe that's just me. You've done great work with the polish & focusing on the core mechanic, I do think it would benefit with more chaos but you'll have the work with the game balance closely for that. The popups for scoring in the left bottom is a really nice touch and helps understand scoring! I've seen the HYPLAY issue being mentioned so putting that aside, overall an entertaining experience ^^

5/5 for originality! This falls under the category of games where you rage but its addictive as hell, I would  make some game balance adjustments so you can get past 5 seconds 😂 but that might just be me. Congrats on the submission!

One of the games whose progress I was seeing on discord, It is nice to see the final game
The aiming was quite difficult ngl, before I can try to aim and shoot I get hit by the robot and the screen shakes so much that I completely get thrown off the aim :/ Any particular reason for movement based aiming instead of mouse look based? The UI is well polished :D at one point i stood facing the spawn and spammed shooting cause that was the easiet to do xD GGs man!

Yeah, realized that when I tried to play pong up too, the HYPLAY setup isn't working so game is basically inaccessible at the moment 😂

The active main menu screen is such a good touch 👌 absolutely love it, it's a great first impression. This is one of the only games so far (i've played like 50 games atm) that has 7 pages of leaderboard scores, which I think is awesome as more people get to see their name on the leaderboard even if they are ranked low. Multiple types of balls + difficulty adjustment are amazing to see for a game jam entry, rarely get to see option to choose difficulty (my game included 😂) Gorgeous work on the dot style level artwork (reminds me of that craft drawings where you put beads to make a drawing) + the length of the level itself.  (its not procedural right, the bar at the side indicates the length you are at, right? ). Having Abilities is really really nice as it helps with progression and doesn't make the game feel linear but I was unsure what some of the abilities do, I see that you tried make the image of the ability explain what it does, which is a clever design but yeah.. and just after typing that I saw that if you hover over the abilities it describes them so ignore the above haha, this is one of those games where you lose track of time simply. Also love the 'you can let it play by itself' nature of the game. YOU SHOULD DEFINITELY AIM FOR A STEAM RELEASE. It falls in the category of cookie clicker type games imo. Absolutely Excellent & Extremely though out entry, one of my top 3 & my highly rated so far game  :)

Love the concept, it's hard to put a puzzle + level based game in a high score chasing theme but you've done that pretty nicely! 👏great touch with the whole arcade machine feel, proper JUICY sfx, vfx! This has lots of potential + already halfway there to become a full commercial release. There's so much content you can play around with/add so do consider that :) If you've watched GMTK's what makes a good puzzle video, I got the 'aha' moment when i one shot all the enemies in level 1 hahah overall was a very entertaining experience :)

Max points for creativity man 😂funny as hell concept, I really like the game design too, collect and then elevator and then fart, like something about it just  fits, i loved it - as mentioned by many the ghost clarity would help but other than that not much else to say hahahah had tons of fun farting !

yep, i understand. I also get that it can be quite hard to balance 'one punch - insta kill everything' so thats all good!

Okay, From the screenshots it looked like a 2D game, but it is not, so that was a good surprise! The enemy AI is really really well done, does not make it easy or too hard, I like the matchup style of the game! Fast-pace game balance is also done right. Also it's giving huge gulag vibes from warzone which i personally loved, definitely something to build up from. Great work man! 👏

Since this is a foddian type game, The level design is pretty much a very important part of the game, A very fine line of addictive yet frustrating, wrong level design can make tilt the scales towards frustrating very quickly, but you've done it really right for this game (risky but sign of a good dev imo) 👏 The other scores implementation is really a nice touch to boost competitiveness, definitely helps with player retention. Great artwork, great polish as well. UI could be better but then again thats secondary anyways so yeah, GGs

ONE OF THE GAMES THAT I WAS SEEING PROGRESS ON DISCORD, FINALLY LETS GOOOOOO!!

I played one of the initial no-juice versions, great to see how far you've taken the juice, the pace also is pretty good now compared to before. Simple clean effective game design (dom would be very proud 😂) The polish + post process are well done too. At a first glance, the gameplay looks simple but there is more strategy to it, at one point i was 'collecting' bullets intentionally which also does a domino effect of kiting/grouping the enemy which then leads to big multiplier + score which also does a great risk/reward since more enemies are there now more bullets are there which gets risky but it gives more reward. GREAT Great gameplay design that is! ⭐Had lots of fun with this one man, well done! 👏
