- Im sorry your team had setbacks with the art work. Making a game with simpler mechanics would require the art work to tie it all together and i think that does make this game receive a lower rating that probably deserved. In regards to experience i didn't like the balance to use attacks for doors it felt off to me and really in my view hurt the over all experience. Theme wise i think your plan was on point but was missing the mystery companion which again could be due to art??
- Interesting running game, the animations and characters were nice and it was fun to spam key presses and then time the charge. However, the window between where you see the door while trying to get a high speed was pretty small. The doors being fully destroyed, pushed onto the ground or having a hole in them could've made more visually clear that the player is able to go through it. Potentially the game screen being wider could've also helped. I feel like the controls could've been laid out better though (potentially arrow keys).

Hey!
How are you? It's Ilias again. I have some new questions for you.
What do you think about game jams in general, and this game jam in particular? What do you think could have been better, and do you have any suggestions?
What were your favorite video games?
Where do you think the strength of video games resides? What do you believe a video game should have to be a successful video game?
If you would like, you can tell me a little bit more about yourself and your background, if you have any information you would like to share.
Thank you in advance,
Ilias.

That cover photo is a bit sus ngl 😂 Actually really well done art on the characters. I at first got confused reading the description & thought A - D were the controls but reading again realized that was my bad. One of the only games so far (I've rated around 30 games at the time of writing this ) that has a different controls layout. Was fun to play & definitely sucks that the game couldn't reach full potential due to the artist getting sick. I kept dying at the first gate though lol
My best until now: 33.20s (52 mas speed)
It was very hard to understand what was happening at first, but then once you get the hand of the controls it gets kind of easy.
Haha the characters are amazing, well done for that. The gameplay is fairly simple, and I’m not sure how the charge works, but I think I won the race!
The funniest art I've ever seen xD
The gameplay is quite difficult for me since I can't run as fast as I want and I'm always stopped by the first or second door :)
