yess really cool concept ! i love the techno music-- its a bop
Small game but fun, I like it when your player choices have consequences :)
Really cool game. I like the persistent looping mechanic.
Fun little game with a cool mechanic, enoyed it!
Just needs a little something more to reward the player for reaching higher with their jumps.
First let me say that the techno music in the beginning was some of the best game music I have heard.
The gameplay itself is also impressive. The very foundations you laid in the past can come back to hurt you in the future, making every decision by the player have huge consequences. The only minor nitpick is that there's an "easy" strategy where you just stay close to the ground and collect 1 coin at a time, and I feel like this strategy breaks the spirit of the game. Maybe it's possible to not have coins so close to the ground?
Overall it's a very simple but nearly flawless game in my opinion.
hey, thanks for the comment! I'm glad you liked it!
About the coins close to the ground, I made like a level 2 (begins at score 30), where it only respawns the upper 4 coins, not the bottom ones. The music and the colours also change, and the game becomes faster!
But you're right, maybe collecting the bottom ones without jumping shouldn't be possible right from the start to prevent this "cheating".
This build made for the jam is done, but I'll definitely address this issue at a later one.
Thanks again!
amazingly innovative gameplay. it's the kind of game that for some reason makes you want to replay over and over again, kudos!
