Agreed with player controller! Need to do some research on fine tuning player movement in a platformer type game. Some people experience lag with browser version ye, seems to depend on platform etc, not sure what the cause is.

Pretty good! But like others have mentioned, there is a bit of jankiness with the gameplay, feels like the 'sandwich' should be completed faster. Sometimes u complete a sandwich and still lose on the same frame. A bit more vertical space would also be nice. Still a nice little game tho!

Super creative and a great idea.

Neat little game. Actually having scoreboard is really cool.

Nice game! Could prolly do with some more ways to customise your cakes, but its a 1 week jam so you did well!

Thanks!

Thank you for the comment.

"I’m stuck on one moment, platform was too high. So I used the "shock wave" from hitting from slime when it jumps)"

Yes! That is exactly what you are supposed to do. Nice.

"Does it have to be that only bottles do damage?"

Lol unfortunately I think the dmg from weapons is bit bugged atm, will fix it some time soon.

Great little game! Funnest one I've played in this jam. Catchy tunes also.

(also: Aw yis I got the high score (PIS))

Beautiful game. Animation and artwork are both wonderful.

More an interactive art generator than a game, but that is fine by me! Would have enjoyed more settings to play with: knobs to turn and fiddle with to change color, size and other parameters. Cool submission for sure, it is very original.

Thanks! Yeah agreed, the movement and jumping could do with some refinement, was unfortunately too strapped for time.

Glad you liked the weapon crafting. It still has some bugs, but glad we could get it finished and mostly working!

The base for a nice game mechanic is here, nice job!

But ofc missing some stuff, tutorial or just control explanation, sound (maybe there is sound? but mine didnt work), etc. Also didnts seem able to undo placements, but maybe I just missed it.

Good game!  Cute and fun.

Simple, well executed and fun! Good job.

Nice sound effects and game feel.

Quite cool, but definitely needs tutorial/hints and some work on UI.

Love Tomatothep and the idea.

Gameplay to me didnt seem that compelling, but I might have just misunderstood it. It wasn't immediatly obvious how the game works, namely why would you use the prayer vs the tomato on which objects etc. Seemed like it was just trial and error: quick tap to see if either of the two are desirable is how I ended up playing.

Thank you for the feedback Remi!

You can actually repair by trading for the "hammers" in the first port. Definitely need to make that more clear in the game, other people also missed it. The loop theme is in the movement and map layout - you can only loop round and round the whirlpool and can't move backwards at all.

I really liked it, one of the most fun ideas in this jam. I'm sure programming this was a lot of effort, well done! With some expansion of content (enemies, cards, deckbuilding etc) I could easily see myself playing this game for a few hours.

Some suggestions:

I had some lag/timestop when I clicked on a card, not sure if this is intentional but it disrupted the flow of the game. Might be caused by me running the game in linux? Not sure.

Some cards which affect the player/enemy in some way that isn't +/- HP would add a lot I think. For example a card which makes you faster, or a card that slows down enemy bullets, etc.

Some type of border or line that clearly shows where you can move would help, dividing the screen into "card area" and "move area".

Neat game.

Think the controls on the lasso could be better, maybe mouse controls? Game would feel better if you could move and lasso at same time

Nice game! Fun concept, good execution.

Only thing I am not a fan of is the music.

One of my favourites from this jam for sure. Hotdog form and the super secret special upgrade both had me laughing.

Fun little game with a cool mechanic, enoyed it!

Just needs a little something more to reward the player for reaching higher with their jumps.

Thank you so much. Appreciate the feedback.

Really liked this game, I think it has a lot of potential. Very cool idea. I liked the changing colour palletes.

I think it would have been cool if the genres interacted more, like for example if in puzzle genre you can move boxes/platforms to make the platformer easier. Also the shooting genre is a bit basic and not as enjoyable - but given time constraints I understand its hard to fully flesh out everything.

Yeah what others have already said, hard to enjoy a game when you have no idea how it works. Good fit with theme and quite original though!

Nice start for a game, mini games should just be a bit more engaging.

It seems like an interesting game but the tutorial was broken so couldn't figure out how it worked.

Fun, original and well designed little game! Art is also clean and effective, I like the minimalism.

Just badly needs a restart level button.

Nice game. I like the idea of assembling your skeleton to unlock more options.

Amazing, definitely the best entry I've played thus far. Fast paced action but there is still room for a bit of strategy and longer term thinking. Clean, good looking graphics and animation.

Only, very minor, gripe I have is that the movement feels a bit unresponsive, for this type of game i'd like movement to be even snappier and faster.

Amazing looking game, fun to play also. Really great job.

Only issue I had was the bullet types,  why care or even look at your bullet types when its randomly chosen and you can fire super fast?

Very nice, cool idea and slick execution

Nice Game! Art is very clean.

Only suggestion: The water was a bit frustrating, would have liked more rafts or just a permanent bridge.

Thanks!

Absolutely love the aesthetics, looks just like an old school game boy game.

Cute game with some great animations, really like the low poly look.

Really liked it, elegant and fun to play. My only critique is the amount of RNG in the game, but that is kinda a personal taste thing.

Couldn't launch on linux, might need to also include .pck file?
