I liked the concept. It was interesting having to switch between the 3 weapons to defeat the corresponding enemies. But some enemies, like the music notes, come at you at full speed! And in the end, I had to quickly switch the weapon, but you do this by clicking on the right icon. I think it would be better if you put a shortcut to select each weapon. And I died a lot of times because I couldn't see the platforms below me. A looking down function to the character would help a lot!
Congrats on your entry! ^^

i really liked the game. the training was interesting and cheerful. the gameplay was difficult but i think the mechanics are solid and well executed. the art of the ui could use a bit more work but since its a jam its ok. it was an awesome effort. Good Job!!

Developer

thank you Master!

It's a cool concept, and you did a great job with the visuals, but there are a couple things that kept me from really enjoying your game. The block placing was a cool idea, but it was a little finicky, especially since you could only move it once. Several times this led to me placing down a block too low or too high and having to start over, as well as accidently releasing the mouse and having the block be stuck there. Also, it was unclear where to use the blocks, and i died more then once because i fell down a pit that you need to place a block in, which wasn't immediately clear. Also, the enemies  often came out of nowhere at high speeds and cost me a life, and I gave up on the last part where you need to switch your gun to kill the corresponding enemies, because you can't see the enemies until it's too late and there's no time to switch. I did like the ideas you had, and I feel that with a little more refinement, you'd have a pretty solid game.

P.S.

If you wouldn't mind, I'd appreciate it if you tried out my game and gave me some feedback

thanks for your comment! i will fix the placing blocks issue for a future game, because you are right, it is unfair for the players if they dont know where to build a block. Thanks and i will play your game!

Fun little game, I enjoyed the music and visuals! My biggest suggestion would be to allow changing weapons with hotkeys as it's very difficult to quickly change weapons on the fly when you have to click the icon every time. I tried survival mode after finishing the main game but unfortunately couldn't make it far because switching weapons always got me killed. Solid game overall, well done!

Developer

Yes the hot keys would solve a lot of issues! thanks for the feedback!!

block placing works great. Game fits the theme, and platformer fits the concept well.

Developer

Thank you for playing my game

Great game! I found that you had to learn the level before you complete it(thats how I beat it at least). The block placement mechanics are a good helper in the adventure.  This is one my favorite games for the game jam!

Developer

Wow thank you! i really appreciate your comment, it really makes me happy as a developer when someone enjoys your job.

This is a really nice game. The controls are great and I love the ability to place blocks. The only thing I found frustrating is that the music enemies come at you too fast and don't give you enough time to react.

Developer

thaks for the feedback, i know that those enemys are very hard and nos fair for the player! i will consider it for the future, as a developer im happy that you like the mechanic of the blocks

one of the best building-block / platformers i've played, the controls also felt really good

Developer

Thanks a lot my friend!

I agree completely with Sprazzal, the game is well executed minus the small FOV, the death restarts are painful when you get screwed over, like one place I though oh nice a power-up ( and the game was like nope you died) The block placing concept was really neat though! Cool game!

Developer(+1)

yes, you know i was thinking to make a game with these mechanics for mobiles. but what you guys say is true, im going to make the levels a little more short and the player smaller! thanks for the feedback it really helps me for future projects

Good concept, great visuals, decent execution. Main problem was that since the view is so small you can't see what's in front of you or where you're supposed to jump, so it basically becomes mostly trial and error, and since every death restarts the level this can become frustrating. Same goes for placing blocks, though this was one of my favourite parts. Overall good job, but a larger field of view would be cool.

Developer

yeah many people has told me that, that is something that i didnt think about when i tested before uploaded! thanks for the feedback
