Took me a solid minute to figure out how to play but once I got it it was really fun. A small tutorial in-game explaining the slashing would be good but otherwise very original gameplay, I also love art and music. Overall great work. Keep it up!
This is the most original game in the jam. And it fits the theme, too!
As constructive criticism, you need to make the player assault the werewolf first, because I started with the snake, and there was no tutorial, and I could get discounts just by touching them. So the tutorial can be improved. But, overall, great game!
Glad you enjoyed the game!
And also thanks for the constructive criticism! The tutorial unfortunately was one of the things that was added during crunch time, so it was sort of rushed in and is missing a few things. In the future when I fix up the game after the jam I'll definitely fix up the tutorial !
Interesting game. I loved the sound effects, music and the art even though sometimes font were quite blurry. I couldn't hit the coupons with first seller.
Oh thanks for bringing that to my attention, like you couldn't slice through the price tags?
I wish I knew how to draw like this, I definetly want to see more like this !
My only concern is I broke the game (the witch don't like me :c) I started the game walking around because I couldn't find the interact key so after figuring out it was the space key I talked to the limb seller, then to the essential snake oil seller. And I ended at the wolf maket but I cannot interact with the coupons so I had to wait until the time was gone. I think I was supposed to start at worlf market first but I never do what the game tell me xD
Interresting idea, it remind me Undertale, you control something on the screen and avoid enemies, feel really good to play, good job !
(don't mind my english :p)
Hm, were you not able to slash the coupons with the wolf guy? That's really strange, but thanks for testing it out! If I had more time I definitely would've added things to stop the player from interacting with the others first, but the end became a ridiculous crunch time and a few things definitely slipped through the cracks including the tutorial.
(Also total slip of the mind, forgot to add tutorial that space was interact)
I could't quite figure out how to interact. but music and sound was nice. i also liked your drawing.
Interact is space/E, but I definitely could've made it clearer. Thanks for bringing it to my attention!
Really cool game, I especially loved the graphics and I think it's really cool, that every trader has their own unique attack pattern! I didn't know what to buy at the beginning, but after some time I just decided to buy 2 of everythin and it worked out! Music and Sounds were really well done too, altough I had pity with the werewolf, as his "Please" sounded so sad. So yeah, great jam submission!
Thanks, glad you enjoyed the game! I definitely should've made the goal more clear, but we ran out of time towards the end so every tutorial-related aspect of the game was rushed in...oop!
What a cool little game!
I especially loved the design of the snake vendor, his artwork is so powerfull and full of movement !
Cheers and congrats on the game :)
Good one, love the art style. at first I dodge everything for a while and thinking " what a boing game" and then I just notice that I need to collect the coupon lol . Now it's a fun game XD
Lmao I just realized that I forgot to mention the slicing mechanic in the tutorial, that's what happens when you add something really late at night! Glad you had fun tho!
I really Enjoyed this i will defo play again a cool little game
Thank you!
