How was your/your team's experience in this jam?
Awesome, first jam, learned a lot about pixel art and animation!

One game this jam answered the question "What would it feel like to be an asteroid hurtling through space?" but this one asks the question I didn't know I was asking "What does it feel like to be a no-longer-a-planet-but-still-wants-to-be hurtling through space?" It got a chuckle out of me. I did notice the background seems to tear a bit when repeating and it started to hurt my eyes. But I still had fun!

Hahaha! That about sums it up. Glad to make you laugh. And yes, I definitely need to fix that background. Thanks!

I'm always a sucker for games about my favourite solar system object, nice one! The art was fantastic and the sounds were used quite well, and the concept itself is pretty great.

However, the game itself doesn't work on Itch. The gameplay also got fairly boring after a while, so I'd really recommend adding in a lot more elements to mix it up.

Overall, still a pretty good game. Really brought me back to being a kid and playing a game where you smacked asteroids into the inner solar system as Pluto.

Hi ScarfRaveStudios, thanks for playing! It seems we share an affinity for Pluto!

I appreciate the feedback, and I would love to continue adding in elements and features. If you have any specific recommendations, I am open to suggestions.

That game "where you smacked asteroids into the inner solar system as Pluto" sounds awesome, I am sure revisiting it would be great. Thanks again!

This game doesn't seem to load at all for me, do you know what the problem might be na dhow to fix it?

Developer

Hi PPGamerPL, I did not manage to set the entry point to the JAR file yet, so at this point it can simply be played from this web page: https://www.greenfoot.org/scenarios/28355

Very funny game idea! It took a bit of guessing to find the “little ability from neighborly Uranus”, but that was a fun process. I am not sure if it’s possible to host java games on itch, but if it is, that would be nice to do. Definitely an awesome achievement for a first jam, thanks!

Hi Nikl, thanks for playing, I'm glad you enjoyed it! I would like to host the game directly on itch, I just have not learned that process yet (so I resorted to the redirect to the game engine's host web page). It's been a learning experience. Thanks!
