I spend a really fun time on your game but please make the character movement a bit faster.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback. I've played with adjusting the speed, it does feel a little better, I just need to adjust the bosses to match :)

the idea of the game is quite nice, and I liked how the first boss works as a tutorial, I have to be honest tho I found the first boss to be the hardest with the other 2 been way easier, it might have been that I died I think 10 times at the first one tho ahah Good entry overall! Good Job!

Developer

Thanks, I had trouble balancing the second boss but I would like to have another go at doing so. The third boss I just didn't have time to tweak to make it challenging.

wow the bosses is so much !! I like your unique bosses !!

Thanks :)

Cool game. Love the boss designs and the music. I sometimes felt a little bit slow moving through the world, but still had good fights with the lords of the realms. Love the idea that there's a NG+ ! Used that feature.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! I was really pleased I managed to add NG+ at the end of the jam though I feel that the enemies should scale a bit with the player, at least in later NG runs.

I like the inclusion of the environment in the second and third boss fight.

In the first fight you incorporate the players defeat into the story - it's very clever, and serves as a little tutorial. The concept of trapping the character in a dream world is also quite interesting, it is certainly something you could expand upon.
Character movement was rather slow though, and the game didn't feel very dynamic.

A nice game overall. Good job!

I love the dialogue, made me giggle throughout playing it. I thought it was interesting that you kind of had to have a game over in order to get more abilities! I wasn't really clear on how to create weapons on the third boss -- the movement was a bit slow to get from room to room. The bosses are really cool though, nice job!

Developer

Thanks. My original plan was for the player to get the boss to do the slam move on the cracked tiles, triggering the make shift falling rock weapons but I then made it so the player could also trigger it by shooting the crack 3 times.
I'm glad you liked the dialogue :)
I had trouble with movement speed. I wanted the world to feel grand but didn't want to up the speed for the transitions. I think if I could have added monologue exposition to take up some if the time then that might have felt better.

Developer

I realised the RATE button at the end of the game takes you to the wrong jam page. Sorry about that.

The art is quite original, the repeating pattern stings the eyes a bit, but the boss design is nice.

The game is very hard I get screwed x)

Developer

Thank you. Yes I was hoping to do something to break the pattern up a little but alas I ran short of time. Thanks, I think this is the first game I've actually made with bosses, it's quite interesting trying to make them varied but I think I need some more practice 😅.
The game, in theory, is designed to get easier as you go but you have to be juuust good enough to experience enough of the attacks.
