Game's take on the theme
The word in itself is makeshift. The Hero and every Bosses and Arenes are made of remains assembled randomly. The graphics are also an assemblage of different references gather in movies, comics and video games. In addition you need to craft the bosses to unlock them and the guitar's upgrades are random object found in trash.

The designs and mechanics for the bosses are superb and really creative, reminds me of the best parts of old school Newgrounds flash games!

The use of the theme is very creative and the overall aesthetic of the game is amazing. The music complements the game as well. My only issues were that I found the hub and crafting confusing at first. Also, I can't seem to figure out how to heal after dying. Despite this, I found the game fun and its clear that a lot of effort was put in.

excellent job! the game feels smooth, the mechanics are interesting and especially the artstyle, graphically the game is very unique and makes it stand out, the music is fitting too but honestly good job on the visuals!

Such an amazing entry! I really love all the art on display here, everything feels really cohesive and matches the incredible music! I personally found the hub a bit clunky to navigate, but the player controls are top notch. The one issue I did end up having was that my health dropped super low and I couldnt find any way to replenish it, with the orange bar that seems to be for that not working. So my one suggestion would be maybe spending some more time on the central hub and making it a little more comprehensive for the player, since that's definitely where I was the most confused. However, that problem is completely overshadowed by just how cool the bosses are! The music, feel of the player, and giant boss designs just go so well together and are definitely the game's high point! There's clearly a lot of love and care being put into this and I'm super excited to see where future versions go!

I finally found your entry! I said I was going to play it on discord :P I love the hero design and the overall feeling, had few issues with the movements/collisions but nothing game breaking.  I love the music and the theme is clearly visible in your entry and I love it! overall an amazing entry, Good Job!

You went IN on the theme for this! Nice inclusion of it everywhere you look. I unfortunately couldn't keep playing after the extremely loud gunshot that plays when you defeat the first boss. I hope to see that lowered at least, maybe even changed to a different sound as well, in a future update. Captivating art and environments, definitely a unique experience with a lot of love poured into it, so I'd like to play more once an update is released!

Hello ther thanks a lot, its very nice, we pourred all we had to give in this game hhaaah :D Well yeh the bang is a bit awfully loud :p But after a load of play testing i was deaf so i didn't realized *sorry*, if you have time you can continue the game :D There is a save system :p 

Well we are going to finish this game with a dozen of bosses upgrades, lore, voice acting :D 

I cannot test yours today but i'm hyped, 'cause you posted so many part of your progress, and i looks stunnning :D

Cool game AMAZING music, the best part of the game.It was a little annoying having to restart the tutorial after killed by the first boss though.
A better transition when you die would have been nice too.

We will take your remarks on consideration for the v2. About the transition we wanted to use new Unity UI toolkit and it was harsh! My friend is used to it but I had to learn a new tool during the jam :D so i wasn't able to do exactly what i wanted! We will improve it for the v2.

Really nice! I liked that the camera zoom in and out. Also good presentation and graphics. The fact that the bosses are huge is very cool, that's how they should be! The boss fight music is top notch, well done!

Suggestions:

  • The wall collision could improve a bit;
  • The training dummies could have something (an hp bar, for example) to indicate how much damage it takes to destroy them;
  • I'm not sure if there is one, but I wanted a shortcut (or some kind of menu) to leave the training area and go to the hub immediately. That would be useful. I tried a lot of keys, but couldn't find it.

  • Yes we have collision issues but pls don't tell the others.
  • Yes the Hp bar could be a good idea. In any case the feel need to be improved.
  • This button doesn't exist. Our Ui is minimal. it needs to be rework completly!
