Game's take on the theme
The player becomes a superhero by make shifting its costume. When attacked, it can heal by temporarily taping the costume. All the bosses use scrap materials and DIY items to attack.

Your games is beautiful! It would have been nice to see the life of the bosses during the fight! but voerall it's agreat entry.

what a comfy game for this genre, it really takes you by surprise when the difficulty begins to rise. I adore the mixed media, and music was just tense enough to elevate the visuals without overdramatizing the stakes. I found the controls a liiiil tough to work with bc of certain buttons having delayed feedback when starting new actions, but perhaps that's part of the curve!
the spitball projectiles could have used more tactile, textured feedback on hit, and a stronger, more colorful presence on screen. To my ken that would have bound all the elements together in a substantial way, as it's the second most common interaction the player has with the game, after movement.
I tried to focus on critique rather than compliments, because I think you know your game whips. It really does. Fantastic fantastic work.
The music and sound effects were very nice and definitely complement the game well. I also like the unique art style that you went with. The only thing that I noticed that was inconvenient was that you had to start from the first boss again if you died. Apart from that though, nice game!
Wow! What a beautiful game! Very cool! The character design and boss designs are so interesting, combining with the environment and backgrounds, everything fits together pretty well! The protagonist voice is very nice too. Easy to play and the bosses are funny and entertaining.

Hey thank you so much! it means a lot! as a programmer I am really happy that the gameplay impressed you! :) originally the idea was for the player to also collect bits and pieces from the bosses and craft a little plane ( the idea was later discarded as we decided to add the healing mechanics instead) so yeah, we were trying to give the DIY vibe ahahah, so glad you noticed it :) Thanks again for all the kind feedbacks and for playing our game :)

Some bosses' attacks feel a little cheap (like the garbage coming out of the bag and then bouncing or the low drawer one on the first boss)
The aesthetics are pretty consistent until the second boss, where is feel like the stage was rushed.
The attack from the player coming out of the straw is a cool detail, but in terms of game design, Is always expected for the attack to come from the center of the playable character, this, with the small platform in the second stage, makes hitting the rat boss a little harder than it should
I understand the fact of not resetting the players health after defeating a boss, but the character can only take 3 hits, and you can't continue from the last boss you fight, that makes the game way harder than it should be, Reseting the health OR allowing to continue from the last boss would fix that issue.
The use of the theme is good, but pretty common among other entries

Hey thank you very much for all the feedbacks! I didn't know about the about the fact that the attacks should always come from the middle of the character! I will certainty take it in consideration this for my next jam! to be honest we are also not entirely happy with the second boss :) not sure if it was clear but you can heal yourself by pressing and holding down the right mouse button (if you used a keyboard). Thanks a lot for playing the game and for all the useful feedbacks tho!

Very cool graphics style! Tiny screens on itch.io don't do it juistice! Once I saw the game in motion I instantly loved your vision! A bit like cuphead, but with your on twist!
Getting defeated sends you back to the start :( I'd rather have to repeat just the fight I lost.
Bosses flash just a bit when hit. This is not a big problem but it could be less subtle, because I didn't see it at first.
Liked the hand drawn hero, and his little "let's go" sounded cute!
Over all- pretty good game, with VERY strong style!
Hey thanks a lot for the feedbacks! the fact that the game send you back to the start was my idea (I am the culprit aahah) because I was worried that, as the game had only three bosses it might have been to short for a boss rush but I have to admit that it is quite tedious, I am really glad you liked the game tho, thanks :)
Very nice work overall but the gameplay is a bit boring.
