Game's Take on the Theme
The boss spins it's blades for a powerful attack. Also the player can charge it's weapon, spin it to make a strong attack.

Did your team make the majority of the art and music during the jam?
I used game art and music from artists which didn't particiapte in the game, because I jammed as a Solodev. (Check the credits)

If not, please link to any asset packs or resources used here.
There are many, check in the credit of the game page.

Hey There! :)

Great Game! I like the cool and cute movement system, and the monochrome style. Retro vibe! Rated! ;)

Thank you if you visit and rate mine as well!

 All the best!

I like the minimalistic almost monochrome look of the game, you did really wel to portray so much with such a small pallete, I like the action a lot and I find it very interesting, I rate graphics on top, but all is cool, also please rate my game if you can, thanks!!

Developer

love it, cant wait to see more and I can imagine a sekiro mechanic, with deflects, and new movements, amazing job

Developer(+1)

thanks.

Deflect makes sense for such a "closed space", meaning if a room is just what's visible on the screen.

I'm looking into having a deflect for another character I think, because the one which is currently in for the player doesn't an animation which could fit.

Got to checkout the game mechanics of Sekiro!

Thanks

I knew that art style was super familiar! I have been a fan of penusbmic for a few years now, the art style is amazing!!

Music is also super nice, the controls feel VERY snappy and fluid. Having to download a program to play the game is a first, but eh,don't mind it. Pretty fun!

I would have loved to see more bosses, and a bigger variety of attacks too.

Good job!

Thanks for taking the extra step to install the playdate sdk!

There is a cross-plattform project, but it's in the early stages and would have been to much for me to take on for a game jam. I'll probably have a look into it, because it would be great to also get playdate games on desktop platforms.

Thanks for your kind words, I'd love to integrate various characters and bosses from penusbmic in this game :)

Your praise gives me fuel to continue :)
