In the most literal way. The player is a submarine and diving deeper is a component of getting a higher score.
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
All code was made from scratch, as was all art, UI design and music. Some SFX and fonts were used with permission acquired online.

This game is really good
Great game! Having the limited field of view and the radar is a really nice way to play and makes you think more. The atmosphere is really well done too!
Great game! Love the arcade-focus of the gameplay, the atmosphere and the graphics! The sonar mechanic was really well thought. In my opinion, maybe it would add some replayability to add powerups or upgrades. Diferent kind of bombs would be great too!
