Ambitious project to do in a week! Considering the time, it's a great submission. However an empty textbox appears after the first part, with four colored squares. I also managed to type the password for the strongbox but I couldn't click on the locker due to the textbox and the other inputs like space or enter didn't work... but I'd like to continue the story! So I'll wait for an update :)

There are several things to adjust like some collisions (Alan sometimes appears behind other characters),  a line of dialogue of Crystal where she doesn't speak English (unless it's for the plot, I have no idea! XP) and absolutely that bug of the textbox "New Text" and the four squares D:

After all I think you should considerer to finish it because it's a cool concept!

(p.s. I don't know yet  if there is a reason for the plot, but I'd redraw Megan instead of using Crystal sprite! Maybe by just changing the hair color... I don't know...)

Great game and creative story!

I love a good murder mystery and the art/character designs really stood out to me (both the pixel art/animation and portraits) so I was pretty pumped when I saw this. It had a decent start, but sadly, I have encountered a game-breaking bug. I couldn't get the safe open with the code and therefore couldn't gather all the evidence I needed. On the topic of bugs, I also had a perpetual text box on my screen in the second half of the game as well as a couple of indiscriminate colored squares. I also had some issues with the progression of the story. I was intrigued by the general premise of the story and the characters were pretty interesting and unique given the timeframe and length of the game. The issue with the story is that there's very little information that helps the player know where to go, what to do, and establish consequential data to solve/engage in the mystery. All in all, there's some real potential here. If you can patch out these bugs and flesh out the setting a bit more I think this game could be really something.

Cool idea for a game, it's not often you see a visual novel as the entry! I think the controls could have been conveyed better; for example, the "Continue" button that's mentioned on the blackboard (which can be interacted with, but it doesn't look like anything tells you that) is Enter, but that's not mentioned anywhere. Also, during the investigation phase, there was a "New Text" UI box that didn't go away, and when I tried interacting with the blackboard again, I just saw a bunch of square prompts and didn't have the right context to solve the mystery yet. It also looks like a screen resolution issue, as I think more prompts showed up on the right side off camera.

The art looks really good, well done on that! Though I think it was a bit weird that the female characters had the exact same portrait, but one was green. And the music sounds good, but feels a bit weird in the beginning when nothing tense has happened yet.

Again, really cool idea, and I would love to see this expanded out into a larger polished game. Good job!

Yeee, we kinda had to shorten and rush things in the end, but we are definitely gonna polish it and/or rework it in the future with more time. Thanks for the kind words ^^

First try, play button bugged out.
Second try, game work fine.
Maybe is just me, but got the feeling that needed more guidance to know what to do after leaving the classroom.

Interesting game but I talked to all the people in the class room. Felt like something else was needed to be done. Walked around for a bit. Talked to some people twice. The big guy in the corner just made minecraft eating noises at me. I feel this could have been cool if it was just a visual novel with pointing and clicking and not any real moving. Maybe flowed together better.

Nice camera movement, dialog mechanic is solid. It needs some tutorial to understand easily. Well polished game. Good job!

Can you try and rate my game ?

Loved the Persona vibe intro, and the dialogue was nice and snappy too. Wonderful anime artwork! :D A sprint button would be welcome addition.

The audio was very epic but it didn't fully match the classroom exploration vibe for me. I personally didn't understand what the main objective was, and found myself walking around exploring empty rooms and walking past locked doors. The students in the room don't want to interact with me, and I'm not sure what I'm supposed to be doing. But if the art was made from scratch, still very cool! Maybe some stronger female characters could also be cool.

It seems to me that this is a very underrated game
