Very well done game!

I really like the diver's sprite and animation.

The music is well chosen, and it's great fun to collect treasures in a chill way while listening to the music.

Well done for all your hard work in just one week!

Cool game and creative idea. Interesting concept.

Hi, would it be ok if I show your game in a recap video for this jam?

Developer(+1)

Yes of course, we would appreciate that!

This is, all in all, an excellent game. The premise is straightforward: dive, uncover treasure (and the occasional piece of trash), and convert your findings into currency. With your earnings, you can purchase upgrades to delve deeper and discover more valuable treasures. I ventured so deep that I stumbled upon strange circuits and waterproof computers, which was a captivating touch. I'm truly impressed with how well the game executes all its aspects. The seamless integration of music, changing as you descend further, adds an extra layer of immersion. Additionally, the artwork and animations are skillfully crafted, enhancing the overall experience.

Thank you so much, we appreciate it!

Its really nice concept. I like the pixel art and it reminds me of Subnautica but 2D

Pretty fun game you have here! Definitely not the first dive/collect/upgrade game I've played this jam but for sure one of the most polished ones. I really enjoyed the little hidden areas, and the overall game loop was pretty tight. I have to admit, I hate those anglerfish lol. They're so hard to get past without them going after you! The boost and light unlocks were cool and something I didn't see elsewhere (really liked boosting!). I ended up playing for a little over 20 mins and there was still quite a bit more below me that I could see, so props on creating so much content for the game. I'll have to go back and give it another go sometime. Fun game!

Here's my gameplay video playtest if you're interest in getting some more feedback!

Fellow Godot developers I see! Anyway, great game! Had a fun time playing this. The mechanics are nice and the upgrades feel great. Though, I don't know if I finished the game since there was one more gate at the very bottom and I couldn't quite find the last lever.

Submitted(+1)

So I actually came back and finished the upgrades, and it showed the there is a third layer. I just can't find the lever the would open the gate to it. Any hints would be great!

Developer(+1)

Thank you! We are so happy that you are having fun with our game!

Yeah one lever might be a bit tough to find, we put some illusory walls in the game (you probably found some if you have all the upgrades) and one lever can be found at the bottom right on the second layer behind an illusory wall. (I assume you found the two that are visible.)

It was nice to see collect animation and outlines. Assets are nice. Neat jam game !

I liked it, the upgrade system works really well, I like that each new thing shows up on the character. All around well polished game, great work!

Very fluid controls and movement, and the game is very fitting of the theme. I think there should have been a little more treasure to find before getting to the deep water, I never seemed to be able to find enough.

Developer

Thank you for your compliment and feedback! Yeah, to be honest: We wished we had a bit more time polishing the game. Maybe you could try to find some of the non-obvious treasures, there is a fair share of them ;) But I understand your point. Btw really liked your game as well, love idle games :]

Great game with nice movement

Developer

Thanks, yes, we agreed on snappy movement instead of sluggish, typical-underwater-level-y movement and it  did wonders for the game :D

Fun and relaxing game :) Liked the upgrade system a lot.

Developer

Thanks, appreciated!
