Cool idea! Here's my take:

It's a solid start!

I faced the same issue as the other developer with clipping through the door. The weapon animation on the hand seems a tad delayed, and having health bars for both enemies and the player could make it more engaging. Consider adding a tutorial or control information to help players understand the game mechanics better. Overall, great work! Keep it up!

I thought I fixed the wall-clipping problem. guess not. Well, thank you for your great feedback tough! :)

Really cool concept! I did run into a bit of a bug right in the first room where I kind of clipped through the door and couldn't get out of the wall

Developer

Real sorry about That! I'm unsure how to fix this....

The most intriguing part to me is wondering about who we play as, who the ghostly person at the end is, and why we're in this house of monsters. In a way it reminds me of classic RPG maker horror games. The character and enemy pixel art is also great and I can tell a lot of care and thought went into it, especially the player character's design.

There's a lot to improve with the rest of the experience though, for sure. Combat feels very non-responsive, and to be frank, the music is extremely grating.

I would like to see how the story would develop in a longer version of this game!

Developer (1 edit)

So the story is that your character is stuck in a sort of self-built purgatory. Until you reclaim your soul and you're finally free.

It was supposed to be a roguelike with the only way to find the "boss" was to buy a certain item from a merchant. I got really rushed and burnt out after day 3, so it was hard to keep working. And the music was some of the first I had ever made. I made the pixel art for the UI elements, but otherwise it was made by a user named Luusifer.

Found a bug when you could "glitch" out of the place and the enemies cant kill you and killing the enemies was kind of weird.

Developer(+1)

Sorry about that. Could you tell me exactly how that happened? It would help me fix the issue.

Submitted

Sorry for not replying fast but there was some door that didn't let me to another room and happened to glitch me out of the map and wasn't able to move and the door had some weird collider.

Developer(+1)

I experienced that glitch once but I was unable to recreate it, or find what caused it. I guess it still exists in the game.

Developer(+1)

Okay, fixed the glitch. Sorry it took me so long. I've been busy all week.
