I loved it. One of the best puzzle games I have played in the jam did get stuck in the cave but I enjoyed it, Good use of assets and music,

Developer

Thank you mate, that means a lot !
Was fun to make and i learned quite a lot by doing it alone.

ahah the cave part is mostly because i did not spend too much time on the plateforming part of the game (mostly because i did not have enough time to do it all)

Glad you enjoyed it !

J'ai pas d'idée mais c'est cool

You built very nice interiors, good lighting. I had to laugh at the sidewalks, the animations look like 3cpo from Starwars XD.

The whole player movement is a bit too Raw for a 3D platformer (I think).

Did you write the code in C++ ,or are using Blueprint?

and the narration is AI or your voice?

you did well!

Hey mate, thank you for the comment.

yeah i did not spend much time on the animation, i learned a lot making it but that's about it.
i had too much to do, i did not spend as much time as i wanted on the platefroming part of the game (but that's a game jam for you)

i wrote the code in blueprint cause it is faster for me at the moment

the narration is AI, whished it was my voice ahah
Glad you like it still !

I've tried giving it a fair chance, but I was just stuck on the first door. I found six keys, and the door didn't open.
I even restarted the game, in case I bugged out the door. But man, if there's more than six keys, I just can't find them.
I don't know what type of this game this is supposed to be. Mainly because I couldn't get past the first level. But if it's a parkour, puzzle solving action game, where finding the key isn't the challenge, but getting to it is.. might I suggest you give the keys a glow? It's own light source, I mean? On the first level, the last two keys I found were the ones next to the statues. The ones that were not even hidden. They are not easy to spot.
It's also weird how you need to press E to collect the keys, instead of collision. But this might have more significance on later levels. So I don't know..
Oh, and I pressed escape to pause, clicked resume and the game crashed

Hi, thank you for the comment.

This is not a game about finding keys; it is a platformer/puzzle game, though currently, it leans more towards puzzles. The part with the key is just one puzzle related to exploration. There are no bugs there, and the last two keys are hidden but not difficult to find if you interact with everything in the room.

However, I have taken into consideration what you said and added a particle effect on the key to make them easier to find (no light, but the effect is significant enough). There are eight keys in total, with two hidden behind the statue. I've implemented a feature where when you're close to the correct statue, a message appears, indicating that you can interact with it, which should make finding the missing keys easier. Initially, I hadn't planned on adding this feature, but I thought it would be beneficial.

Since there is no UI for the key (intentionally), I wanted to ensure that players knew they picked up something, hence there is no collision when picking up the key. Additionally, you will encounter keys later in chests, which require the interaction key to pick up.

Regarding the pause menu, I've made a few changes, but I'm unsure why it would cause the game to crash upon resuming, as it's simply a UI disappearing. I've uploaded the game with the mentioned changes; it should be easier to navigate now.

Oh my, I never thought about interacting with the statues.
I'll check out your game again. But do be careful, I'm pretty sure we're not supposed to update our games until the Jam is concluded (except for maybe game braking bugs)

I couldn't get past the part with the symbols and the door. I did like every combination and it still didn't open. But the torches were super cool at the beginning and I like the platforming section. I also cheesed the floor pattern puzzle because I was still running when I entered the room so I could just run across the floor.

Hello, thank you for the comment.

I've made several fixes, particularly addressing the floor pattern to ensure that you cannot run.

Additionally, I've fixed the part concerning the symbols and the door, so it now resets automatically. This adjustment will make it easier to determine if the combination works correctly or not.

You had a great concept, and i am a big fan of the voice actor. I think some of the elements like the naruto run or the modern beat were unnecessary and broke the immersion. With that fixed the game would have such a nice gamefeel imo. Just like the way the torches light up while walking across the hallway. Still, great job especially for this short time window!

Hi, thank you mate. it was fun to make !
I changed the animation and music so it doesn"t brake the immersion, it should be better this time :) (if you try again ahah)
