Ranked from 9 ratings. Score is adjusted from raw score by the median number of ratings per game in the jam.

How does your game fit the theme?
More and more storm clouds spawn as the game progresses. It's relatively calm at first, but every second the game gets more dangerous.

Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
No, I included a "works cited" at the bottom of the Itch page.

Enjoyed the premise. Kinda reminded me a little of Sid Meier's Pirates! with the movement and broadside combat. Upgrade system was nice. Great work! Congrats and good luck!

I like the art style and upgrade system! Does the leaderboard work with other player's scores?

Good entry! :)

it’s supposed to, but the text box doesn’t work apparently. I didn’t fix it since the time for the jam elapsed and that felt like cheating

Scoring system aside, everything else here seems to be pretty solid. It isn't too complicated, but for something made in a week, it doesn't have to be, so that's pretty good stuff. I also really like your storm effect, it's pretty nice.

This was pretty cool. I wish the upgrade button worked, I could see myself playing this for a while trying to get a high score. As is there's not much motivation but it's still pretty fun. The text box where you put in your score is broken though unfortunately.

Thank you!

What do you mean “wish the upgrade button worked?” I haven’t noticed any issues with it other than the messed up the raycast (if you click the text the button doesn’t work)

Oh yeah, you're right. I swear I kept clicking it and it didn't work. Not sure what went wrong with that specific playthrough, but you might be right maybe I was clicking the text.

It’s my fault either way for not fixing it haha
