How does your game fit the theme?
The game implements the theme both literally and figuratively. The gameplay presents a calm period of supposed ease in the game, until it presents a sudden event of increased difficulty, the storm.

Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
Yes, we did.

I can see how the theme is implemented into this game. If I knew that the ship is invunerable, I could win this game on the first try.

Good and interesting game, cutscene made me laugh thanks, it was fun and it would be lot better with more sound fx and vfx

Here is my game if you want to try

Neat game. I also had the resolution issue btw (1440p screen). Music was cool - very stressful.

I did notice that the obstacles seemed to be spawning in at a time rate rather than a distance rate, so if you slowed down you'd get a whole bunch of obstacles grouped up, making them even harder to avoid. Dunno if this was a deliberate choice, but I found it made it most effective to just hold up the whole time.

I really liked the little opening cutscene - very funny! Good job :)

Thank you, I’m glad you liked it! So sad the resolution wasn’t good, apparently that’s happening in any resolution other than 16:9, I still haven’t figured it out. About the obstacles, yeah, they spawn at a random time, so stopping really cause them to group up. That was a side effect we found out while developing, but we thought it wouldn’t be a big problem. I think it’s harder to lose this game than it is to win 😂

Great little idea that you got completed.

Although the screen gets cut off in the browser, and when in full screen, the start screen, storm and sea are all different sizes.

Developer

Thanks! It’s so weird that it’s getting cut, what’s the resolution of your pc? For us it’s looking normal, so I’m trying to understand what’s happening

Your game is actually quite challenging! I really like the incorporation of the theme, the faster you can go before the storm, the better since it becomes so hard to go fast when the rain comes in. Great job!
