How does the game fit the theme?
Nothing can go wrong… right?
In Ctrl+Alt+Escape, you sit down at your computer, excited to launch the game you made for the latest game jam. But the moment you click on it, everything goes haywire. A virus takes over your system, locking you out and throwing you into an endless loop of security verifications and cryptic puzzles.

Where did you get the background wall and cat from? I enjoyed the game a lot! It was fun searching for the clues and getting further and further. I am a bit sad, that we couldn't safe the PC from destruction tho. The cat screams in the background made me wanna check out frequently if the cat was okay, which was a bit distracting for me. You really nailed the style of the pc and you put so much effort into everything. Well done! It's sad, that the background is so blurry and mushy and not as crisp as the pc and everything in it.
very cool game, the music was very immersive and the puzzles were nice, and the code at the end is very fitting of the situation of being locked out of your game
Really neat game! Brings back memories of the early internet time, when I had an irrational fear of computer viruses. Fortunately, it was a fun experience this time around due to the music, art style, and overall tone of the windows and apps.
I'm still waiting for the pc I won on the game, when will I receive it?

The Artwork is at points very stretched. Other than that a very nice little puzzler.
Reminded me of the Winodws Destruction Videos from Vargskelethor :D

Fun windows vista emulator(how using a computer used to be in 2007 :D). Try to disable antialiasing. It makes the images blurry.

I've completed the entire game! Quite an interesting puzzle, I really liked it. I won't spoil it, but I'll attach a screen of the finale :D

I really liked the art style and the relaxing little background music, I loved the way the little pc was made but I had a little bug that should be fixed: I opened the music window twice and couldn't close them except by closing only the first one I opened.
