The ideas are definitely there, so, good job on it! I think the experience would be way better with some indicators that enemies got hit and a more flashy indicator that the player got hit as well (instead of only decreasing the health bar). Great work!

Fun concept, and the bones of this are there. Two things: 1) The text in the game (for the upgrades) is hard-to-impossible to read, and 2) there is no feedback given whenever you land a hit so it's a bit hard to tell if you're making progress on an enemy.

Liked the retro style of this! A few suggestions would be some basic SFX when you shoot or hit, some kind of feedback showing that you did shoot an enemy, and maybe an enemy healthbar? I was also confused thinking that the same colored ships were my allies! But love the chaotic effect of it all
