Great Game for your first jam, good take on the theme, some things i think could have worked a bit better are reloading taking time so that you cant just spam R to reload and enemies coming from both directions. Great job :)

Interesting take on the theme. Good try for a first solo jam.
It would help a lot to allow muting/adjusting the volume. Some arcade/8-bit music would fit well. Something to change up the gameplay, like a platform you can jump on and enemies coming from the left as well would also help.

Thanks for the feedback, as I mentioned indeed it was my first game jam and first "finished" game, I'll get better over time!
Overall, definitely a wave based 2d shooter. alot of animation, alot of changing levels. I've seen alot worst. Good Job working with the theme such that you're rewinding the life of the player. That's a first that I have seen so far!
Edit: Also forgot to mention that if you stay on the left of the screen, hold lmb and r then you win without taking damage.
