Hey there, It's so exciting to see another game by you!! I can't wait to check this out tomorrow :D

Ahh yeah, that one.. It's because that button actually forces it to give you the next sentence any time you press it. So if it's pressed early it smashes the lines together and breaks the string length check. I'm definitely going to put a delay for when the button shows up after this, thanks!

I'm definitely thinking about expanding it or making something similar! It's so cool to see people wanting more

Thank you so much!! Just wanna say you made one of my favorite games in the jam. Keep up your awesome stuff :D

I love that one!

I really wish you added more details for the environment! Even just making the ground a darker color so it matched the background, would have been super neat. Kudus to putting in lighting though, it always helps :)

This game is super cute! The music really made the whole feeling of it come through. I do think it was a bit confusing at first, and the villagers took a while to find, almost to the point where I wasn't sure if they made it into the game haha. I think if you smoothed up the playing audio/recording and gave it just a bit more life it'd feel like a genuine release and not just a game jam game!

I'm so happy you played mine! Very flattering considering your games are super immersive themselves :)

I'm happy you enjoyed it! I'm curious whether you mean it was frozen on the pizza pic, or do you mean the idle in general was boring? I'm trying to brainstorm how to make the beginning more engaging without ramping up the creepiness too quickly haha

I actually just made a htread showing off my favorites! They're all here:

Hey there! Already rated, but just wanted to let you know I recommended your game in a post since I enjoyed it so much. I hope it gives you some extra attention!

Love narrative games! Excited to try yours out.

Here's mine!

Hey all, I wanted to break up the rate for rates with some games that I feel are being slept on. All of these are under the 20 mark so give them some love! If you have any games you really enjoyed, post them under the comments!

EDIT: Some of these images got super warped, whoops! Hopefully that doesn't make this post unreadable.

Quacktum EntanglementGenuinely clever puzzle platformer that I would've sworn was going to get a ton of ratings. Awesome graphics, clever puzzles, and smooth gameplay!https://img.itch.zone/aW1hZ2UvNzI0ODEzLzQwMjA0MDQucG5n/original/PY2WbR.png
Asbjörn the Forgetful WizardA relaxing text adventure that I found really charming. Good graphics and minimalist in a way that's just peaceful
Wind Up
Who doesn't want to play a lofi beats platformer with text transitions as smooth as jazz? The graphics are understated where the gameplay becomes so satisfiying.

Mystery Behind the Mars Mission
I'm a sucker for narrative games, so I might be biased, BUT the characters have so many little details to them that I really admire. They all have their own voices, icons, and environmentals that make them feel alive. It's the kindof stuff I didn't expect to see in a week long jam.
TockAh man, I just love the lil mouse dude in this one. Plus the fact that the dev timed the movement of platforms to the music?? That's so impressive to me.

Just rated!

 Check out Midnight Special!

Checking your game out now :D

This one was genuinely fun haha. I could totally see it being a Mario Part mini game or something like that! My one issue though is that sometimes the mountains look like spikes on a platform, which made me avoid them at first. It took some mental gymnastics to overlook that design language while playing the first level or two.

Check out Midnight Special! It's a TV rewind horror experience.

Hey there! Check out Midnight Special, a TV rewind horror experience:

I love how intuitive this game is! The levels feel really thoughtful in a way I haven't seen from too many puzzle platformers on here. Also, I adore the swinging lights, I made that own game to hit them lol. The only thing I wish is that the rewind just keeps looping, it would help me think through puzzles more but also a pretty subjective ask.

Will do! Check out Midnight Special

Saw your game from the comment you left on my page. This game is so cool! It's some of the most engaging UI I've seen from the Jam. Super sorry it got deleted, but hope you know at least someone enjoyed it!

Nah, you have it pretty spot on! It's been a while since I've flown so I had to relook it up myself for some bits. I think the only part from my experience is the throttle isn't usually so easy to start the plane up. The one I flew was ancient, so you had to sort of ease it in/out like a lawnmower. Pretty hard to put that in a game though!
Random tidbit but most planes have the pre-check list somewhere in the cockpit since even trained pilots usually refer to it, maybe that could be a way to give the player some aid?

This is so awesome!! Would it be ok if I post your video on my game page?

Feels like a Game I could buy on steam! The learning curve was hard at first, but I felt smart when I finally figured it out haha

Here ya go!

Checked yours out after the thoughtful feedback. I really enjoyed it! The box physics can be a bit finnicky, but I love how diverse the rewind mechanic itself can be!

Thank you! I would love to make this a vr game actually, that's a good idea! Also yeah, I sadly didn't but to toot my own horn I spent ages pairing layering them together for the right feel. I'm happy you liked it, will be playing your game now!

I've legit soloed a C150 and couldn't get the plane started lmao, appreciate the pilot representation though!

I can't even imagine the time dealt with timing the movement and the music, you did a sick job. I hope this gets more ratings, it deserves it!

Very relaxing, the subtle touches like the text transitions really make it!
*Itch just posted my comment 3 times?? whoops lol

Good job! I hope you keep on making cool games like this. I also love how you started with some dialogue, it set up the fun tone of the game right away.

Here's mine, enjoy!

Oh man this was one a blast. The art was cute, the music was fun, and the design was so intuitive. Definitely one of my favorites.

Cute concept, I like it already! Hope mine is fun for you!

W o w, this gave me impostor syndrome for my game haha. The animations/graphics are jaw dropping. Plus I love your scare at the end? It's hard to explain, but I like how "soft" it is. It doesn't feel cheap, but it's still really spooky. I really hope your game gets more ratings! The horror games for this are so cool.
