The game is really fun, I liked the story and jokes a lot, but sadly It frozed twice on the Laboratory level, so i couldnt finish it (once, I clicked twice on the trash bin and it froze. the Second time I was abaout to leave and then it froze).
Overall, really fun game. Great Job :D
Very well done ! Fun to play and nice story :D
Very good detective game ;) I loved the talks and how she break the 4th wall ahahahahha With more time maybe you could make the atmosphere in a better way. But I know the time was not so much. Great job! ;)
I loved it! I've been playing for half an hour this game and enjoying every single bit of it... and it just froze in the laboratory lol. I was having so much fun with it and it restarted :(
I think the game is awesome. The story and the small jokes here and there really add to it. Only thing is the clues menu, which scrolls down sooo slow and after every try at joining clues you have to enter it again.
But apart from that the game is incredible and has so much potential, are you planning on updating it after the jam? I would definitely play it! Good job and keep it up :)
Also would appreciate if you could check out my game and leave a rating, thanks!
The level of detail in this game is astounding. The UI, interactions, dialogues... all of this has probably taken a lot of work, amazing in one week. With more time would be good to improve the hints so that they're more intuitive and trying all possibilities is less of an alternative. Sometimes it feels that something can be concluded from 2 hints but it's not. But other than this (understandable taking into account its complexity and 1 week of time) this is an amazing submission.
Great game, loved playing it, and hope there'll be more of it.
Some slight problems :
-I didn't like starting the game, 'cause I was vibin with the menu music.
-There is a bit of jittering when a text starts.
-Some spelling errors but not a lot though.
-The hint menu got pretty annoying. First because it moves too slowly, which makes finding two hints that are far appart a bit frustrating. But mostly, the fact that the menu closes every time you try to match two hints. When you want to try a lot of things, it gets really annoying. Though I guess it's linked to the fact that it triggers a dialogue.
Other than that, really good project. I loved the fourth wall breaking, though you should tone it down a bit, since it's a kind of humor that has a fast decay when used too much.
Overall, it almost felt like a demo for a "real" project, instead of something made for a game jam.
Again, great work.
Thanks for that wonderful feedback ! And thanks for playing it !
Yeah for the typos it's my bad, english is not my main language ahah. The jittering is done by the <i> that opens the italic bubbles !!
And yeah I feel you for the hint menu. I really wanted to do more with it but was short on time..
Thanks again for playing !
Really cool game! The mystery wasn't the most complicated thing in the world, but it really didn't have to be. It was just complex to be interesting, without feeling overwhelming for the 15 or 20-minute game length. The hint-matching mechanic was cool, but as others said, it was a bit underutilized, and for me it felt like a bit of a "guess what the developer was thinking" game, since a lot of the hints were connected to some extent. The presentation was really nice, the writing was enjoyable, and overall it was just a really engrossing mystery game.
It's cool to see another game that centers around investigating a murder, and my team definitely took a different path than you did. But if you're at all interested, we'd really appreciate some feedback!
Thanks for that review ! Yeah, I know what you mean for the 'not complicated' mystery aha. I really wanted to do more but...I was afraid to not have the time to pull it all off...
I'm glad your enjoyed it nonetheless and will definitely try out yours of course !
this was a lot of fun!
Thanks for your review !
Really good game! I thought it was really fun! I only have one piece of feedback. The part where you link clues was under used. I only ended up using it once and tried to pair other things. If you were to continue development I'd try and make that more flushed out with multiple links, maybe even using red lines and connecting clues like on tv shows. Anyways, a great game and high stars from me! Good job!
Thanks for playing and reviewing !!
Yeah I feel you. I love this kind of mechanics and really wanted to make it but...I found myself short on time and couldn't do as much as I wanted...
commenting just because I had used this music in one of my game: https://aloksbd.itch.io/lovepark, will rate it after I complete it.
ok, so I did not expect that. 1 week sure is not enough. I wish there was more to match and it remained at hints page if not matched.
I'm gonna rate your entry for this jam ! And definitely play this other game of yours ! :D
Thank you for playing and reviewing it, yeah I found myself short on time and I agree on both your feedbacks...will do better next time !
I finish your game, actually i really like it, you might wana add more content and publish it on Steam, i'm sure you will get alot of good reviews and sales! Congrats!
Thanks a loot for that review !! I really feel like fixing it and adding a lot of contents more !
Thanks for playing !
The game was well put together! I loved the funny interactions and the mechanic to click pieces of information to fuse them. Great idea!
However, I encountered a bug on the second room with the 3 suspects.
I clicked on the middle guy and talked to him, then tried clicking on his chair aferwards. After that, I couldn't click anything.. My guess as a coder, a null reference exception is triggered? But I'm not sure how the setup works, just my best guess!
Something I would've loved, when 2 hints don't fuse, the screen shouldn't exit out of the folder. I found it mildly annoying having to reopen the folder every time.
Overall, GREAT game!
Thanks for playing and for your kind reviews !
Yeah, so actually here is what happens : when clicking on the chair, you're trying to reach an unreachable point (I should have made the whole area unreachable it's my bad...). When the navmesh agent is moving, everything else is deactivated (to avoid bugs...). And sooo you're stuck ! So sorry for that...
Yeah I feel you on the screen problematic, it was a quick fix to an unwanted bug aha
Thanks a lot for your feedback !
Looks good. But English is not my main language unfortunately.
i came to play the game just for 5 minutes because you played my game and rated it , but after those 5 minutes i found myself really engaged with the game for like an hour ,great job man ,but i found that your game is a bit hard to me
Thanks for your feedback, I'm glad you enjoyed it !!
Great game! Nice amount of humor and a nice story! I ran into a gamebreaking bug though... When I was in the lab and clicked on the trash can, the transition to text started, but no text appeared. It then stayed like that and I couldn't do anything and had to restart the game.
Hey ! Thanks for playing and for your feedback !
So sorry for the bug...I had the game playtested by four different people but they didn't trigger it it seems :/
The audios are good, really like the concept. just one thing, the main menus are bad
Thanks for your feedback and for playing the game !
Well main menus are oftenly added after the hole game dev process for me so..yeah they might not be as polished !
Awesome, very nice. Love this style of game and it's done very well.
Thank you for your nice comment !
