Hey I played your game and made a quick video. My mic is a little quiet so it's hard to hear, but I thought I would send it to you anyway. Your game starts at 12:44

.

Just FYI: I uploaded the video from when I played your game on stream. You can check it out here (timestamps for each game are in the description): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zndBygTNM2w

That's like...so innovative !! Rewinding the platformer was a very good idea, and very well done !
I enjoyed it !

Here are all of my thoughts.

What I liked:

- Amazing concept, and good implementation of the core idea. I can't believe nobody else thought of this concept, since it's such a cool way to tackle the theme "rewind." Also, stuff like "catching bullets" really makes you feel like you're playing in reverse, instead of just playing a generic platformer, but in the opposite direction.

-  The controls are pretty precise and satisfying.

- I really enjoy the music.

What I think could be improved:

- I cannot, for the life of me, figure out how to get past the part with the circular saw over the water. I tried jumping from every angle, in every direction, but nothing worked. I can't tell if I'm missing something, but that one obstacle kept me from getting any further in the game. It's a shame, because I was looking forward to how much further this game's gimmick would go, but it was just impossible for me.

Overall, it's a cool experience that I just unfortunately could not finish.

Developer

Thank you. You need to dash right after you jump.

I liked the implementation of the theme. But I guess this game is a bit difficult, had some issues with colliders.

The graphics were nice and the idea is pretty good! I think the game is just a little too much like a normal platformer, so it would be good to expand on it. Also, a longer game would be nice too. The enemies were kinda pointless and I could just ignore them the whole time, so fixing that would make it more enjoyable as well

Nice job though!

Developer

Yes, it was supposed be: you die if you dont catch the bullet. But it brought some bug when you die, so discarded it on last hour.

Good job! The art was nice, and there were some touches like the player being backwards that really stressed the theme. The jump to get over the river right after the boss fight felt a bit unfair, and I'm not sure if this was intended, but if you held X, you would just catch all of the bullets. I really liked the music as well, and it really fit the theme.

Developer

X was a not intended, Thank you

Really fun game and I loved the 'catch the bullet' feature it was brilliant. A really clever take on the theme in my opinion!

Oh I love this game. The idea itself is very brilliant, but what I love most is that the player is facing the wrong direction the entire time. Great idea for a game. While it was short, I did enjoy it very much and I would like to see this game grow into a big one. Nice graphics, decent audio. Loved it overall. Great job!

A really good take on the theme, specially the "catch the bullet" part, once i saw it in action made so much sense. And i also liked the more challenging finale (or beginning), but with the generously placed checkpoints it wasn't an issue. The thing i would improve is the re-spawn, it holds like you reload the entire scene. It's a nitpick, but i think it would definitely improve the experience

Developer

Actually I just repositioned the player to checkpoint, and reset the enemies after checkpoint whose bullet were caught (bug: enemies you ignored wont be reset though).

Literally starting from the end is very innovative. Sadly, the game as too hard for me to complete.

Nice execution :) I'm not good enough at platforms to make it past the spikes I'm afraid, but the game looks good.

Developer

Thank you. that is the only hard part in game

I’m not sure how much content there is in the game, but generally it’s a good idea to not ramp up too fast; it lets less skilled people like me enjoy more of your game :)

the part where you had to face the right way was a nice mindf* because you had to inverse it. A bit annoying but not too much, so it turns into a nice element; a hard thing to pull off right imho :)

Developer

Yes, thats right. As a developer we play it a lot and know what to do. But trust me once you figure out the distance, it is a piece of cake

like the concept but need more improvement

I had a hard time at first, because I didn't quite understand what I was supposed to do, but then I managed to play normally. It might be cool for the song to continue playing even after the character dies. Congratulations!!!

It is quite hard but I like the idea of starting from the end.. good job.

Good job.

My game is a casual game if you wanna rate is https://misterm.itch.io/mixtape-match , Thanks

I like the art style. It was a little confusing what to do when I started playing. May be a little tutorial could have helped.

Developer(+1)

It is play game backwards, I will put description in page

Really cool concept that fits the theme well!
