Pokemon style games aren't really my cup of tea, so there's not much I can say. Intro was way too long tho. nice game nevertheless.

You put a lot of effort on this game. I normally don't play this type of games but I did try yours.
One suggestion : The introduction is too long.. you have to permit to the user to press a button to go faster ..
You did a good job in one week to write all the graphics and music..

Hey! I really dug your game.
Like others have said, an option to make text roll faster would have been a lifesaver at the start of the game. Sitting through that much text with no other option was kinda brutal! I really liked the designs of the creatures and was impressed with how much functionality you coded in. I think that with polish this game would shape up to be super cool.

First off, I am very impressed with how much you got into the game. There is a lot of content for a game jam. Also I like that I can just walk up and hit the heal button. When I play Pokemon, I always hate waiting for the lady to put my Pokemon in the heal machine one by one.
On the other side, for the first couple of minutes you are just reading through dialogue and clicking through menus. In this intro sequence, I don't think I learn really much to help me out with the game. The time would have been much more well spent explained systems like the stamina system. I know that is kind of like a Pokemon tradition, but I don't think its necessary to inherit every part of the design from the genre you take inspiration from.
Overall, I think its solid, but I think some considerations need to be made of what you are using and what you aren't based of you experiences with other creature captures games, and what really makes up their core experiences.

since im thinking of continuing this game ill definately try to work out the gameplay more as i have some cool ideas for it!
Moundhogs are the new zubats. There's a ton of stuff in this, and as a huge fan of creature collection games I loved seeing all your nods to other games, the ultra beasts, the stamina system from TemTem really good stuff. I did run into a bug where my rattook was overwritten by my flammec, so now I have 2 flammecs that share a health pool. Also I liked how the UI bar color changed with the typing of the Akian. Overall I'm impressed with how much content seems to be here great work!
How many creatures did you design? I didn't get super far and only discovered I think 5, 7 if you include the other 2 starters
Thanks for playing! there are a total of 13 creatures in this game. 9 of which are the starters and its evolutions! im glad you enjoyed the game! i might make this into a full thing if i get the time! also if you encounter any more bugs please let me know, as i will try to fix them after the rating of the games has ended :)
ui is not responsive . it would have been better if u gave option to quickly skip the dialogues. overall alright
