In what way does your game fit the theme?
It's a 2D puzzle-platformer where you must combine and separate colors (characters) in order to get stronger characters or achieve a certain color required to beat the level. It's only possible to beat the levels by using all the characters to help each other.
Did you write all the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
Yes, except the music. The music was made by David Renda.

Nice Thomas was Alone vibe :)
Very nice game, main problem is that I keep accidentally clicking r when meaning to click e, but it is really polished and the concept is amazing.
Hey there,
Really nice concept you got here, you could make this into a full pledge game with more levels and a level select screen. Love the minimalistic design, a "thomas was alone" design feels you got here.
Cheers!!!
Thank you :)
Very nice! Almost too late to snag a win pic... 😎
My biggest and pretty much the only issue with the game was controls. I never got used to em for some reason. Always messed up A/D which ever is which and the changing direction was a gamble too. Always had to do huge preparative work to see the switching direction before doing a boost jump. I think it would work very well (for my simple brain) on a controller. Jump being on A and character switching on shoulder buttons. Then the merge and split could be on a single button too and it would merge if touching and split otherwise. Would make it a lot simpler.
I feel like I pretty much cheesed my way through the game and solved each level in a way it wasn't intended. Some of the sneaky level breaking tricks in my toolbox were...
Mega boost trampoline (dash diagonally up next to one)
Impromptu double jumping
The trampolines were at first kinda confusing. They looked like yellow switches and had me quite puzzled in that first level with em. You could also break them quite easily with big dudes or by slamming on em with enough force.
Visually the game looked quite nice even if it was only very simple shapes. There was some nice subtle animation and particles but I'm a sucker for juice and wanted to see more! The activity line wasn't too easy to spot. Some kind of bigger activation animation would have been nice to have to make your eye attract to there the activated dude actually was.
The background and ground colors were a bit too close to each other in contrast. And by the way I hate pure primary colors with a passion so I think your saving grace was all the post processing effects here which shifted them down to a more pleasant saturation. Still kinda too close for comfort though. 😉
Aight, great game all in all. With just the controls issue solved and a truckton of added juice (and obviously more content too) and I'd see myself bashing my head against these puzzles for a lot longer. Good job! 👍
Really appreciate the feedback, thank you :)
Really really like the idea of combining the colours, it's engaging both for the gaining of size but also for the many many combinations you can surely get.
Sadly I wasn't able to see it to the end as I got stuck on the level where you had to separate in mid air and jump on the other block--I couldn't quite figure that one out.
I also took quite a while at the beginning to figure out you could dash upwards to jump. I feel like a simple fix for that might just be mapping up arrow to dash up, but I understand that might also add a bit more complexity to the mechanic.
I think it could also be slightly nicer if you found a way to naturally introduce the new mechanics instead of simply explaining to the player what they need to do to proceed; but I understand that takes a real lot of time and refinement which you might not have had the time for.
Great conecept and nice execution though, and I do feel if you expanded this it could definitely be a hit!
Thanks for the feedback :)
Sadly, I wasn't able to get past the first level, because Icouldn't figure out how to jump
You had to press S key + up/diagonal directions with arrow keys. Thanks for playing.
ah yes I'm stupid.
The color mechanic was perfectly executed. The post-processing added to the overall look and it just felt good to play. Jumping was a little tricky but great game in general. It would be epic if you could rate my game :)
Woiah great game love it
Combining and splitting the colors is a very cool concept! Well done!
Great graphics and really cool mechanics but getting the jump mechanic down is pretty hard especially when you need to switch and jump, but really well done!
Nice innovation by color combination in real life! A bit hard to control after reaching further levels. But it has a lot potential!
absolutely fantastic. by the end I was synchronizing by dash to the beat because it sounded so good! great job
The controls are kinda difficult! But the music was good. Probably I didn't get it
Very good game, albeit a simple one. Requires the player to actually think a bit and fiddle with the controls (which are very well made), for example: You can use the game's physics and movement to skip parts of the level or go somewhere faster, that requires you to play well though.
Thank you for the feedback :)
Very good game! The minimalistic design is pleasing to the eye. But I did not like the fact that the jump is performed by pressing two buttons at the same time, but the game is very good. If you want, please rate our game.
Thank you for the feedback :)
