Nice visual style. The tutorial is a bit long, only the most important things should've been explained. When you get 4 allies, the game gets so easy that you could play it indefinitely. This is mainly because all enemies come from the right and you can just destroy them as soon as they spawn. Also, the enemy spawn rate doesn't increase , so the difficulty always stays the same. Cool idea and nice mechanics, but I wish the balance was a bit better. Other than that, good job!
I like very much the design and style but it got really confusing with way more items than i can handle right from the start. I would love to play it again if it was a bit simpler.. at least in the beginning. Nonetheless, cool idea and execution JBroook :)
Thanks much for playing! From your comment and others, I noticed that some people think the game is too hard, while some thought it was too easy, but I can see how different play styles may lead to different results, I'll try to keep this in mind for my future games
I loved the game, it took me awhile to really get the gang of it, but when I did it turn out so fun. Also the graphics are great, really passed that old gaming feeling!
Thanks so much! This jam I actually did all the art myself instead of getting my artist friend, I'm proud to say it's not bad
The idea is super cool, and I love the games visual style. But the game gets super chaotic super fast, and it's then gets really difficult to see what was happening.
I suppose it's true that it gets quite chaotic over time haha, but that was actually what I intended for the game, it makes it all the more satisfying to run through hordes of debris, but I can see how people may not like that. But thanks for playing!
The win/loose condition is truly bit confusing and might need some care, but overall this is very nice entry! I love the space theme and the approach to merge it along with theme of the jam is really nice. You did really nice job here! Thank you for the experience
Thanks for playing! True, the win lose conditions is a bit buggy and also lacking in game design. But thanks for the critique!
This game is pretty good, but for some reason the game didn't end even though all citizens died. I felt this game was a little too easy and I wish the game would get harder over time. There could also be obstacles you're not allowed to touch, to make the game more interesting. The tutorial was kinda nice, but I thought there was a little too much text, maybe a more interactive tutorial would be cool! Overall, even though I think there is a lot of room for improvement, it was pretty fun game and the game felt really satisfying, especially when you dash into the enemies! Cool game and great job!
Yup, difficulty was a huge problem for me to tackle and I ended up remaking the main game over and over but eventually it still wasn't enough. And this was the first time in a jam I actually had time to work on a tutorial, guess I overdid haha. But thanks for playing!
I don't know when the game is over. But the sense of control is very strong, the feeling of crashing into the enemy is very refreshing!
Thanks! The game ends when all the citizens die, shoulda made that more clear lol
