I think that it's a bug, since if you try to "open image in new tab", it says "500 Internal Server Error". I think maybe itch's servers are overloaded? Also, I remember something exactly like this happened last time I did a Brackeys game jam, but it fixed itself after an hour or so.
This is happening for me too! Some of the games in the submissions page won't load, including ours. The cover, screenshots, background image, and embed image that we uploaded all won't show up. Somehow, the header image for our game started loading after a while, but none of the other images are doing so. :(
I guess it has to do with the upload lock. I also couldn't upload screenshots as soon as the deadline was due. Maybe blocking file uploads blocks cover and screenshots images, too.
Maybe, but I remember I was (eventually, I think there was the same issue) able to upload images after the deadline during the 2020.2 Brackeys game jam.
