In what way does your game fit the theme?
A drunken pirate must scramble to collect gold to pay his default bar tab.
Did you write all the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
All code was written from scratch. Most of the models are from POLYGON Pirates pack, however a few elements were modeled by us. All of the other artwork was made by us.

Very polished game! Excellent work!
Would appreciate if you give mine a try: https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-6/rate/1176432
certainly will as soon as I get off work! :) thanks for checking it out.
Its worth playing!
Loved the art and music, the gameplay was too slow for me, and I think it should have been more chaotic (Add more enemies per island).
over all very fun and short
thanks for the feedback! I agree. Definitely could have been a bit more chaotic. :)
I love the music and the graphics!
thanks! dfritz22 worked super hard on the graphics! I made the tunes. Wish I coulda mixed the audio a little before the deadline lol
Not bad, the aesthetic fits well and the music is chill and nice, animations are nice and detailed, and the environments felt pretty natural. Some constructive criticism: I would suggest slightly faster movement (I know you're drunk, but walking across an empty island at the current speed is kinda rough), and it would help make things look more natural to lock movement during some animations, like ending lag on a jump. Enemies can also still finish an attack and deal damage even when they are dead, so letting that get interrupted would be something to consider in the future. Regardless of that, good job!
Loved the low poly art style and the animations were awesome(when they worked haha)! Well done!
So I expected to die when I went into the water... and instead, I fell forever haha. I love the theme and the voice acting at the beginning. Nice job.
Haha yeah we wanted to fix that issue but ran out of time. Thanks for checking it out and glad you enjoyed it.
I really like the low poly style of the game, maybe 'driving' a ship drunk should be more challenging, with distorted controls or shaking camera, nice game!
Aw man i totally wanted to do that, but ran outta time lol Maybe ill keep on with developing this and set up something like that.
Amazing graphics, music and voice acting. The game was buggy but I like what you did with the short time we had!
Thank you for checking it out! Will be checking yours once I get out of work today.
This was fun, few bugs here and there but you expect that from a game made in 7 days, well done on building this.
Thank you! Checking yours out when I get out of work. Looks awesome! Anything with dogs in it is an auto - win for me!
Nice Game! Fits the theme real well! A little bit buggy but overall a solid game well done!
Thanks for checking it out!
Game was really buggy, starting with enemies i could kill multiple times and the fact that i could use a ship on land but overall a good idea, great graphics and amazing voice acting.
Yeah it was unfortunate we ran out of time to correct some of these issues but thanks for checking it out!
That was really enjoyable! I like the visuals and the voice acting. The hitboxes were buggy sometimes, but it's a nice game overall.
Well done! :D
@dfritz22 worked hard on the visuals, and his voice over part lol My wife crushed her voice over. this was a really fun project to make :)
Being drunk was less chaotic than I’d thought (maybe an additional left/right control inverted movement would have helped?) and as mentioned by someone you can kill the skeletons a few times to get more money.
I was surprised you guys have made a cut scene and did a smooth transition to gameplay. Good job!
Thanks for the feedback. That would certainly have been a nice way to make the game more chaotic and fun.
Really like the way it's 'chaotic'! Enjoyed the game :)
Glad you enjoyed it!
interesting take on the whole idea, and very well done with the music and overall controlls. voice acting on point, only downside was the hitboxes seemed a little wack, but overall enjoyable and great entry
Thanks for the feedback. It would have been nice to fix the hitbox issues but it all came down to a time crunch as both of as work full time.
I don't Know if you intended to be able to farm coins on the starting area but you can you can win without even leaving the island.
The movement Felt slow but being drunken perfectly normal. I would have liked it better I think if I could move side to side even if the controls are inverted.
The voice over was I nice touch and Certainly Not expected.
lol yea I forgot to destroy the enemy collider once they’d been hit by the sword. The end of the jam was a bit of a rush to the finish lol many things were overlooked. :) thanks for checking it out!
i like the graphics!
glad you could dig it!
i was surpriced with the voice over, and if a game has skeletons is a 10/10 from me
Thanks for checking it out! Skeletons all over! Hope you enjoyed it and opefully you were able to complete it! Checking yours out now.
Loved the voice-over and animations! Big tip for your shadows, in unity per object turn on shadows from both sides! That way your shadows look much neater.
Could you play my game too? https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-6/rate/1174314 , would be appreciated.
huge tip! Thank you. This was our first game. Next time we’ll definitely do that.
also I’ll absolutely play yours!
it starts really good...
like the first cutscene including the voiceover
but what am i supposed to do, after collecting the gold....
thanks for checking it out! Once you’ve collected the gold, just head back to the bar and the game should finish up with a fun victory screen. :)
