I'm 15 and have a year of experience making games (and also the previous brackeys jam). You can definitely do it with more practice and stuff, good luck!
I started to program since I was seven (and I'm almost twelve now) but I don't have that much experience with game engines.
And I can definitely recommend at least trying a game jam!
