How does you game fit the theme?
Am I Seeing Things is based on the real life experiences of a man with bipolar disorder, who, when extremely manic, would hallucinate. Over time he discovered his hallucinations did not appear on digital cameras. Anytime thereafter when he believed he might be hallucinating, he would simply whip out his phone camera. If his camera did not see what he saw, then he knew that what he was seeing, was not real.
TL:DR - If what you see isn't showing on your phone camera, then, "It Is Not Real".
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
Most the models I had previously made for other projects. The phone was specifically made for this project.
A similar story for the code. A fair bit of the code was existing code I had written for other projects, that I adapted for this project. Plenty of fresh code for this project though.

Super simple and fun little game idea. I overall liked it. Well done.
Very unique game and well thought out! We loved racing against time to find what was and was not real to increase our score. We love the story behind the game as well, great work!
Really good time killer game. Had fun in every single minute playing it!
Lovely game! I loved the concept, and the camera was really well done. the sound effects when you get the correct/wrong answer is hilarious!
Rated !!! would you kindly rate mine too!?, I'd really appreciate it if you do, Thanks!
here's mine: https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-7/rate/1415313
Pretty interesting! It reminds me of a real life situation of a dude who uses his phone to differentiate whether he is seeing someone real or not. For feedback, I think a more engaging environment would have been cool to see.
Yep, it's based on real life experiences of man who does exactly that! Cool to hear that someone got that without reading the about page :)
Nice way on implementing the theme! This is a great time killer time and a great game for training the eyes to find what is real and not. I suggest create a level that will let the player explore further as the game progress and determine what is real not while exploring. All in all, good job! :)
Great concept ! Very original !
I couldn't go any further than 21 score, but I had a lot of fun doing it. Almost like a reverse Prop Hunt !
Congratulations on making it, it's very good ;)
Great game, great job on the theme, my high score is 14 (I think it's pretty bad, definitely could do better). Overall enjoyed the game, excellent work!
I really like the theming with the phone camera and hallucinations, and the progression of difficulty was really good. Good work!
Pretty fun concept, almost like a "find the difference between these two pictures" kind of puzzle, but with a really ingenious adaptation to a 3d video game. I really appreciate the theme motivation behind it too, glad I got to play this!
"Spot the difference" haha that's exactly how I described it to my wife.
Good gameplay loop, fun concept, just wish the levels were more detailed.
"just wish the levels were more detailed" me too man, me too. How do you mean exactly? I kept thinking about improving the terrain seeing as it's just a square kilometre of dirt ;)
For real I think you could take this and imagine like a proper house level or a back alley, someplace where a bunch of random objects could possibly be and have pre-determined places where things could spawn instead of random and you have to find what's real and not through your phone. Keep the same gameplay loop, it makes it frantic with things popping in and out of existence every round as if he's having an episode.
Great ideas, thank you for your feedback, I appreciate you!
