I am not sure i figured out haw to play it properly - however it did effect me :)
It affected me negatively, but I don't know if that was intentional on the part of the game's author. I felt stressed and was afraid that at any time this stupid phone could ring or someone could knock on the door. In fact, it comes pretty close to reality.
When I first started the game, I was expecting to be static on the PC the whole time until the time was up and realize at the end that you were alone the whole time.
Your game is the opposite of that. There is so much going on that it became too stressful for me. So I have to give a high score on the effects and a low score on the theme.
If I understood the idea as you wanted to implement it, then you achieved your goal well.
Kinda recreated what my situation is. No one else understands what im dooing and just getting enoyed by question and people telling me to do something real. Not having enyone irl who can comprehend what im doing. I was a little stressed because the engine just wasn't working right on this project, so I just delivered what was ready at the time.
Thnaks for the feedback.
I was scared of the performance issues but it actually ran good enough for me, the stress level is too fast, at least at first when you don't know how to play, some visual effects or particles for the door and the phone would be good, you can also interact with those objects even when is not needed, you can also work in the project without facing the pc screen (wish i could do that in real life), the good thing is that you can jump, the bad thing is that you don't have a bed to jump to.
The only major problem is that i didn't feel lonely at all, quite the opposite, i wanted everyone to leave me alone and be happy about it.
I had fun completing the game, good job.
Oh, I think I put something on the phone to indicate that it was ringing. I did not know what would fit the door. I'm glad the performance wasn't too bad. maby something on my pc that was wrong. I have literally only 5 fps.
