This game was so much fun to play. The concept is really out there, I enjoyed playing as a secretive trash collector. Switching the perspective to the bystander is super interesting and I've never seen that before. Nice job!
I actually found the action of going around the park picking up trash really relaxing! The camera shift when getting near people is a little jarring, but super funny when I scrambled to try and hide! I also love the bigfoot xing shirt!
Had a fun time with your game. Admittedly it took me a minute to understand why the camera kept moving away from where I was, but when I finally noticed the picture changing I loved it. I'm not entirely sure if I was supposed to run away from the people taking pictures or not though. If not, I think that would be a cool way to end the game instead. After all of the trash is picked up maybe the picture gets taken and your time is written at the bottom of the image like an old Polaroid of a high score in a video game.
This was a fun game! Had a bit of trouble picking up some trash items, I think the camera perspective is a bit off in knowing where the picker will stab. Maybe use a ray function to see if the player reticle is on the trash, then have the picker auto-grab on click instead of relying on object collision. I also got confused with the sudden camera changes but was excited to get a better look at the Bigfoot character I am playing!
I agree. I wish I had more time. I whipped this up on the last weekend of the jam. I would have liked to add a reticle change when you were over an item and give more leeway when aiming. The camera change is pretty jarring. I wanted to add a photo camera UI from the person perspective to show they were taking a picture.
Fun game! I got a bit confused on why the game would suddenly go from first person to third person, and it took me a bit to realize I was getting my photo taken. I liked the map design and getting to run around and poke NPCs but I think that the trash items could have been a bit bigger or more distinct, because I missed a few several times.
Great game idea! Unfortunately it was so much fun to run after the NPCs poking them with the picker that I forgot secrecy and trash collecting for a while. My time score for cleaning the park therefore is not the best, but I had a blast. Also you have a really beautiful park there.
