Haha love how you can whack enemies with a pillow. The monster design for that last enemy was also super interesting and cool. Bubbles was also ridiculous in the cutest way. Would have liked a little more depth in the story, but the feeling of missing your plushie felt right.
What a cute game and heartwarming concept! The music is great and the art is gorgeous (esp the sky-themed bgs and the character design!). Shame about the bugs, but I would definitely play a polished version. Great job!

As the artist of my own team i was sooo impressed with this artstyle, the world feels so magical and lovely and I just wish there was more of it honestly. i almost wanna say the artstyle looks tasty like i wanna take a bite out of it! The music and gameplay was also sooo fun and cute and I just really liked this game. def in my top 5

This was a really fun experience, despite the boss bug! The art and designs were great, and the story was very heartwarming. I could definitely see this being built out a bit more to expand the world, if you went in that direction.

Great flavor text especially the screensaver one-- I felt very rewarded for exploring which is always nice. Also just a really cute story! I do think maybe an additional "press space to advance dialogue" would be good to add to first dialogue box to remind people to do so.
I also experienced the boss bug after dying once and in a related vein, the game could also benefit from respawning in the same room that you died! Great job overall and congrats on many of the team's first game jam!

For the bad things I didn't manage to fully understand the combat system, if you loose you can still pass the room like the monsters disapear, maybe it's a feature so we can't get stuck. I tried the normal way of fighting the boss but I just died without knowing if I was able to actually kill him (how many life points ?), the second time I kinda pushed him in a corner to fight him and he disapeared (don t know if that was intended). I really didn't figure out what was the grey circle appearing on the screen ?
That's sick game despite of these little things I didn't understand. I wished it was a bit longer haha !

I'll probably put the music on bandcamp or spotify at some point because I would like it to live somewhere. as for the combat system, that's a totally fair assessment. the boss doesn't respawn after you die which is a significant bug. and the fact that it glitches and disappears when you corner it is also a bug. we'll definitely work those out if we decide to continue development!
the idea behind the grey circles was to establish a combat system separate from health points-the grey represents Olive's anxiety. so when she gets hit, her anxiety increases, and when she hits the boss, her anxiety decreases. the art team had some icons mocked up for this mechanic (hearts for the red dots and swirls for the grey dots), but unfortunately we didn't have time to build them into the actual game.
Plushie Panic! is a great game. The character designs and premise are cute. I thought the boss battle mechanics could be tweaked a bit, but aside from that I enjoyed the game's aesthetic approach to the theme and I believe it deserves more recognition for the jam.
I thought the story was cute, and the art looked great! Something you should know though, the boss monster kinda bugged out on me when I died, and it kinda just dissapeared? Besides that though, cute game!
