Fun game, though I definately think some sound effects could have helped made the game feel better. Nontheless, fantastic job and congrats on finishing the jam :)

I like the bullet density - considering the slower pace of gameplay, the amount of bullets is very appropriate, and the game definitely feels very much like Touhou in the sense of "Dodging finesse > Reaction times".

Although, I believe the enemies and the boss could use some nerfing of their HP level - they feel very high, and I honestly felt a bit frustrated at the first boss fight due to how long it takes to hit him into the other phases, thus I sadly didn't finish it. Although to be fair, the lack of audio and sfx was the main contributor to this, to me personally it just doesn't feel the same to turn on a theme in the background instead of listening to what's in the game, even if it's just a nice royalty-free track, along with some basic sounds, it'd help me immerse myself into the game and enjoy it more.

Visually, the switch between yellowy and blueish lighting felt too abrupt, and for me it made it harder to look at the bullets. I've also experienced a bug in which the background would also tear at times.

Still, I'm sure that with some more work and tuning you'd end up with a neat touhou-like game!

"[Y]ou feel super jacked with super powers." lol

Nice!

I like that there are tons of bullets, and that they spawn in genre-appropriate patterns that capture that classic bullet-hell playstyle (though I suck at bullet hell so I'm not sure what my credibility is there). Visual clarity is also strong, with bullets clearly visible and distinct from the background (I'd probably darken the side parts on the background, though, personally).

It's hard for me to say much more about the gameplay, because I couldn't get past the criss-crossy bit with a line of enemies on both sides.

I hate to be redundant with what other people have already said, but sound would be a big help! Even just a simple music loop and like 2-3 sfx from a free asset pack would go a long way.

Overall a pretty cool game with a lot of potential, which would benefit a lot from being more fleshed out.

Don't worry about being redundant. If all people would let me know that sound would be big improvement, I'll make sure to make space for it in my future plans.

Prettying entertaining and the difficulty is really well done. Nice Job!

As a touhou fan, I can see that touhou inspiration. I got fun playing this, nice done!

Btw it's a shame that has no sound.

While it starts a bit slow, boy does it ramp up quickly with some interesting patterns! Pretty fun stuff! Great work.

Pretty challenging and fun! It appears though every time a new bullet pattern appears, the game freezes for a bit

I like how you set the scene with the opening story (you feel like you can take 2 BULLETS, maybe live one more after that) the explanation for the police looking like blocks was also funny

The game was good! It felt very TouHou like, it was really hard, I got to the first (or final) boss and couldn't beat it (I'm not good at video games.)

I can't seem to find where the theme was implemented? If I totally missed something you can reply and let me know, but as of now I can't see where the theme is.

Overall this game was good, simple graphics and gameplay. Shame that there wasn't any sound, and I mentioned my thoughts on the theme above. Good job!

The theme was supposed to be implemented mainly in graphics and story. Unfortunately artist had other things to take care of and I didn't have time to make up for it. So theme is implemented only in the wall-of-text story at the beginning and end of the game (Escaping the prison).

I see. Well, I've done story based themes before and they don't work too well. But you at least had the theme in mind, which is great! Especially since it was a difficult theme!
