I made a few attempts, got closer each time but would still need quite more attempts to get any close to winning, maybe when the jam is finished.
The game is very good, it looks and sounds good, it controls well and the theme implementation is very fun to use, the jumps being an interesting part of it which makes it quite unique. The different enemy waves are pretty fun to deal with too, the difficulty of the game seems perfect although I've not seen the full game yet.
Very cool game, thanks for sharing.
Very fun game and I enjoyed the theme of only being able to move a little bit at a time!
The end got very difficult (~30 seconds remaining) with some patterns being very difficult to dodge on a technical level, though maybe I could get it with some practice. The UI was very dark overall and it was somewhat difficult to tell how full / low my energy and health were. I thought I was at half energy the whole game so I was playing very cautiously with jumps and later realized it was full energy.
I like the concept but it is a little hard for a bad bullet dodger like me xD would help if the jump used energy but the laser was free, is a fun game though, great work!
Cool concept! Limiting both movement and shooting by the same system is a pretty neat idea and implementation of the theme. I liked the variety of enemies and bullet patterns. I would recommend adding a checkpoint system, as starting over from the beginning is a little frustrating. I also think you could play around with the balance of how large the jump movement is to how much energy it takes up. Right now, with how short the movement is, it is pretty difficult to maneuver through some of the bullet gaps. I also think the game would benefit from a progression system to upgrade your abilities over time. But for a jam game, this is nice and solid. Good work!
I liked the concept for movement. I wasn't able to beat it, but got pretty far. The variety in enemies was great.
