The game was nice~ :> The movement felt challenging but good I think once you could get the hang of it~ I wish there were more courses but solid game~ :DD
Thanks for the feedback.
I made a roadmap for this project, and new features will come.
I will post here some of them:
If you can follow the Instagram profile: TheRacingDead.
Have a great day!
Hello, sorry i can't play the game it always crash when i press start the race. Have you an idea of a potential cause ?
Otherwise what i can see from the title screen and menu seems very polished and i really want to see the rest of the game ;)
Thanks for writing me.
I'm sorry you can't play the game. It will really be challenging to discover the problem that is occurring with your installation. Let's try a few things.
Please, can you give me the configuration of your PC? I believe it is not something with memory, but it can be a clue.
Did you try to play with only the player and without the bots?
Did you try to play only with 1 bot and without the player?
Did you try to enter the Credits and Help option to see if any problem occurs? Or is the error just on Start?
when reopening the game to try your suggestions it was working ^^, so no idea why yesterday it didn't work (out of memory i think).
Really fun to play, I will definitly try with other players ;)
Cool!! If you can, please rate the game. You also can follow the Instagram profile: theracingdead. I hope you have fun.
First of all, I really like the logo.
Nice that you have a multiplayer option and it's cool we can compete with 4 players or 3 bots. Gameplay was super fun, I'm gonna keep this to play with friends! Also, it's great that you implemented an option to get back on the road if stuck.
A small highlight around our character to identify it at the beginning of a race is the one thing that was missing, although it's not an issue with the camera focused on one car. And I really felt the urge to brake when turning but could not, that could be a nice addition!
Thanks for the feedback. I really like your suggestions, and I will put these improvements in my roadmap.
The music and the visuals are great. Controlling the cars is quite hard. Would have been nice to have a handbreak feature so you could make tight corners rather than crash into walls.
Not really sure how the game fits with the selected theme. If it's the missing car controls then it's definitely spot on.
I did notice that after i reset the car near the start line, it was spawned back in reversed. Had to reverse very slowly to turn the car around.
Otherwise a fun game
Thanks for the feedback. I appreciate it.
I made a roadmap for this project, and new features will come.
I will post here some of them that will help to clarify your doubts. Anyway, I updated the game page, including the topic devlog.
A decent racer with cool music and nice graphics. It is a shame you didnt do any of the assets or sound yourself. The cars were kind of hard to control. Very cool that you added local multiplayer. I hope you continue to enter game jams!
Check out and rate our game too
Hey ATK Arcade
Thanks for the feedback. I appreciate it.
When I decided what my game proposal was, based on the theme and the rule of using only black and white, there were only 4 days to deliver.
I already had an old idea of making a game without colors, and when Lone Rabbit proposed the optional theme, the idea of the race for the living dead seemed fantastic.
With the idea in mind and some drafts of tracks, I needed to plan the production thinking on a one-person project.
I have planned two groups of assets, the group of ready-made assets and the assets that I will produce:
Ready Assets:
Assets to be produced:
I don't believe it, but I finished this first version in time to deliver it to B&W Jam.
Then, I put together a roadmap of the next steps. That's right. I really liked the result and the theme that will take the game to a higher level.
Below is the roadmap that will follow to bring the game to Steam.
I have a lot of work to do.
It is a great start! And good work for just 4 days.
