7.8/10 Too much bridges. Jk but the bridge needs to be a little longer for the achievement joke to work. Really liked the style and the deus vult! The wrong sound effect was playing when I was doing the puzzle of the old man, I might have screwed the reset cycle somehow. I could not get enough money for the duck to unlock the checklist sadly. But I did laugh a little.
I loved the game! I got 23/26 and had only the old man's puzzle left - well three times that I guess. Had a lot of fun and the intro is hilarious! Brilliant and also love the Zelda reference!
That was fun. I wasn’t able to finish it, I started pressing buttons to see if that triggered any achievements and the “X” stopped (crashed?) the game. If it does stop the game, a confirmation dialog would have been nice.
I was about 30 gold short of talking with the duck and didn’t see any other bags of gold to progress, but I could have missed them.
Overall, I liked it. Once you update it I’d like to give it another go to see how it ends.
Thank you for playing! Yes, the x closes the game. It was supposed to close the game on the windows version and take you back to the menu on the we version. It was also supposed to ask you if you really wanted to quit. Sadly I ran out of time and it just closes the windows version and stops the web version :( Im really sorry you couldnt see the end, the new update wont be so dependant on your coins. This was pretty fun, but I'm a sucker for achievement hunting games. I think I ended up with 21 or 22 achievements but my game crashed before I could find any other ones or get the money to pay the all knowing bird. I had been stuck for a while anyway. I think having a list of the names of the achievements would help immensely and stop people from just running around mashing spacebar blindly. I'm assuming that's what the chalice button was intended to be but didn't get added before the deadline? The only other issue I had is the theme. The whole crusader deus vult thing has kinda been co-opted by white nationalists and I'm assuming you didn't intend to have that association with this game because there is nothing else that gives me that impression. I liked it. I wish I had any idea how to get the last few achievements and the remaining money.
Yes, buying the "I know it all" from the duck made the achievement checklist (The chalice button) avaliable. That wasnt how it was meant to be, but sadly I ran out of time and that was my "easy solution". In retrospective I should have made the duck either free or based on the ammount of achievements instead of money. Do you remember how it crashed by any chance? Im doing some post jam balancing/fixing. If you don't thats ok, I totally understand.
About the white nationalists co-opting the crusades thing, thats the first time I heard about it! Im actually from south america so I dont know much about US or european politics. The crusader thing was just my take on the theme "you only realize the value of something when its gone" but you dont see that until the very end of the game sadly. Im really, really sorry you related my game with that, it wasnt my intention at all.

It's cool. I assumed it wasn't intentionally linked to white nationalism, but I just figured I tell you in case you weren't aware. I think I was trying to use random key presses to see if they were connected to an achievement. I'm not entirely certain. Might have been when I was hitting tab.

The ending was a good take on achievements on games, I loved this game it was super fun exploring the world and finding secrets.

Gotta admit, you hid those last two money bags really well, I combed over the whole area twice and couldn't find 'em. Great game, but I've got a couple of complaints.
1) The intro should allow the player to advance to the next bit. I know that sounds minor, but just staring at the back of the crusader's head for five seconds seems unnecessarily slow.
2) At some point the dog broke the game for me. I was pressing use on him, but nothing happened, so then I pressed use on his house, which caused the petting animation to happen again. Thinking nothing of it, I starting looking through trees...and it happened again.
Than you for playing! I had some issues with my laptop the last days and I slapped the intro and main menu together at the last moment sadly. You are actually missing 4 money bags , I put 2 extra, but in retrospective I should have made the duck free or based on achievements rather than money.
Im so sorry the game broke! Didnt have much time to play test, but I will look into it. So far I wasnt able to replicate the issue, but i will definitely try to fix it and do some more balancing. Thanks again for playing and your feedback!
Aha, I figured it out. Not going to spoil it for anyone else, but I will say that the duck seems to be slightly useless by the time you can pay for his services. Slightly, I wouldn't have figured it out without him. I was expecting the fishing thing to have achievements like the dog did though.
Yes, I 100% agree with the duck part it was supposed to give you hints for the remaining achievements, but once you got the money you probably had most of them done. I already made it achievemnt dependant instead of money so I will update it as soon as the voting period ends. You actually win it! Thanks a lot for playing it (twice)!
Great idea! It's really cool to see what we as gamers were conditioned to think of as "achievementable".
I got stuck at 22/26 though. I guess maybe the duck was supposed to help with completing the rest? But I couldn't find 30 more gold to pay it.

Pretty compelling, the staring contest was clever. I got stuck in the woods for awhile cause there's a checkpoint at NONS and so if you mess up the final four letters (yeah, I'm bad), you have to put in the second half of that full word. Also, I don't know what that bgm was, but it was A+.
Oh my god, you are right! I havent even noticed about the checkpoint, but it tottally makes sense since it is two of the previous puzzles slapped together! I wasnt thinking straigh by that point I guess haha. Thank you! Btw the music was made especially for the game by my friend Leo, he is a great artist. Than you for playing!
