Interesting game, the story and concept weren't bad. However there were some points that could be improved. Death dialogue didn't need to repeat itself more than once per level, the isometric view was really difficult to navigate, thankfully there was a shadow below the character to give you some idea where you are, if it wasn't for that I definitely wouldn't have finished the game. I don't think I've seen an isometric platformer before and maybe this is the reason. But if you try and execute it better it just might work. Good submission nevertheless.

The dialogue system can really be improved, thanks for the feedback!

Cool aesthetics, but it's a bit frustrating that I have to listen to all the dialog every time I restart the level. But most importantly I think that the isometric view is not really fitting for a platformer :\ It's hard to navigate, and basically I have to constantly watch the shadows to get some kind of depth, but they are only visible when I'm over a platform.

Nice entry anyway!

Thanks Tudvari! Yeah, a platformer with isometric view was a strange idea but it was fun to develop :D

Good game idea, it was a bit hard to control the character i wish the control or the angle of camera was a bit more precise, the music was good ! Overall a nice entry!

Hi,

very nice game. really liked it. a bit sad you only have to option to put music/sound on or off. Was a bit to loud for me, so an option for -50% would be nice to have.

Please feel free to try out my game and rate it here:  https://itch.io/jam/cgj/rate/474542

Many thanks,

Kris

Hey there KrisBijnens,

thanks for playing our game. Yeah true sound regulation would have been usefull, so in the next jam we will consider this!

OMG where's the characters rating, I need to give that 666 stars

Audio and character design made them reaaally interesting and creepy: absolutely loved that.

Very interesting mechanics and general feel/mood.

Thank you very much :)

The game idea, the music and the graphics is pretty good. The controls is not super great, and especially jumping from platform to platform is difficult. Overall an okay jam game.

Thanks! Yes it is not the best solution for movement, we tried it and had not the time to do it another way. But we thought it fits also to the theme^^
