Really fun game! Took a while to notice that the upgrades were the lies.
Audio really fits in with the art! Overall, great game! Good job.
Cool game that sneakily fits the theme :) I like the sound effects and the UI of the game that enhances the experience of the game play! The upgrading system is very clever and well fitting of the theme. The sensitivity of the mouse cursor seemed too high for me making the experience of shooting quite difficult. But overall, great job!

I liked very much this game, it was a very basic idea of a space type shooter but it was clever and fun! As i understand the upgrades were lying! Nice Game!
This is another game I played with my 6 year old daughter and we had a blasts! She really loved playing this one! The menu music was dope and the sound effect were good too. I did wish that the gameplay had music though. Good job on the lies regarding the upgrades! That was an awesome idea! I'm not sure if the game was meant for 2 players, but it was even more fun when I took movement controls and my daughter fired the weapon. We felt like teammates she yelled at me to move and I yelled at her to shoot! It was great! I hope you'll check out our game as well: https://itch.io/jam/cgj/rate/476728
This isn't 100% related, but the game Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime is based entirely on the premise of a co-op space shooter and it's a lot of fun! I think you and your daughter might have a blast with it. I play it with my younger brother on Switch sometimes!
I might do more local co-op games in the future as I like local co-op. I never thought of my game being played that way.
Rated - Really cool! I like the upgrade choice between each level~ A very good prototype! I would work on it after the jam, make some cool little sprite art to replace the shapes. Also, Unity trail system makes great spaceship engine effects. Great job! Please check out my game, you can rate just from the video~ (my character's helmet has a trail effect too)
I like the gameplay and that its an endless runner where you can constantly upgrade like that. Simplistic and easy to play as well which I love. I didn't feel like my upgrades were working at all and I also found a way to "cheat" by grouping all the enemies up and destroying them with one shot. Aside from these issues I really liked the game, nice work! If you check out our game to I would be really happy <3
I really like the simplistic art style, and the neon colour scheme, its very reminiscent of 80s arcade games, I also like the upgrades that are technically down grades, as that fits the theme very well! I'm not sure what was really going on with the mouse-pointer, it seemed very fast in the actual game, and disappeared completely in the main menu - but that's just personal opinion! Overall, this is a very good jam entry!
I really like the idea of choosing the challenge you're setting for yourself, and how it requires you to think carefully of what upgrade to take.
The controls and gameplay feel right, and I didn't feel like I was being cheated out on anything; if I died it was my fault entirely.
The only thing that's missing of course is Audio, but aside from that I think you've got a really good concept on your hands! Great work! :D
I came here for the second time and just saw that I did not comment in your game sayin' what I liked and dislike,

I loved what you did with the theme, making the opposite of what the player wants to, like choosing slow enemies will make they faster
The shooting and dying sound is top notch...
Particles Effect uwU

Sorry for those, I'm just trying to help
Where is a a mouse sensitivity option? and why when I spawn the mouse glitches out of the screen
Everything was fast but not the enemies, it sucked in the start
The game was good tho
You respect the theme perfectly. I really like this addition of "upgrades" at the end of each wave and I was very surprised at the beginning ahah. Good job =D
Alright, here's my feedback on the game:
- Since the background is solid black, there is no reference for your movement. Imagine playing a platformer in which the ground was solid green and the sky was solid blue; at the straight parts you would have no clue about your movement speed (or direction).
- Something weird is going on with the mouse cursor, it moves way too quickly. Maybe you have a bunch of mouse acceleration in the game.
- The music is alright, but a bit repetitive. Sorry Tessy ;-).
- The graphics could have some more love. The shapes are very basic and the colours don't complement eachother. Here are a bunch of nice colour pallettes: https://digitalsynopsis.com/design/beautiful-color-schemes-combinations-palettes/
- I also don't see how the game fits the theme. My game doesn't have a great connection with the theme, but your game has none (as far as I can see).
I love your idea. Upgrade will affect oppositely. It's challenging!
The game is good and 100% the theme is in there ,
but there's something missing which is design , for example the game title contains "glowlight" and i dont see glowing in the game , you could have added glowing using any software like photoshop ,.
if you added music the game would be more alive
thats what is missing in general , the game is not alive yet . If you focused in making it alive it would be way better and fun , I dont mean that its not fun . It is fun but its just too short.
I like the idea and the trolling upgrades , its challenging after you downgrade yourself ,
Thank you for letting me trying it out :)
Sneaky use of the theme there dude, thank you for the game eh!
