I love those kind of games. This entry takes the 2D world and make it into a perspective discovering game. This was honestly pretty cool! It was sure tricky to solve the moving platform level, but with some thinking, I managed to complete the game!
It's also really cool that you managed what I would assume is a shader that shows only the intersections of the visible models in a week while doing the rest! It's probably not done by only changing the camera clipping planes to like 1 and 1.0001f, else the inside of the objects would not render.
I also found some extra platforms at the final level that go upward (by using the rotation feature.) Could climb to the top, but I have absolutely no idea if there's a hidden easter egg there.
Apart from that, awesome entry! Nice work!
If you've got some spare time, come try and rate mine! It's a fun multiple endings type of game!
Thanks for your kind words. I do agree with the poor implementation thing though. I didn't have much time to polish the game since most of my time went into figuring out how the shaders and stuff and I had zero experience with that. And the hidden platforms have the actual ending or the "good" ending.
Lately there have been more and more of these dimension/perspective games, like Project1on, but you guys did manage to make it unique. However, the way you've implemented it makes it a bit unintuitive to use. Perhaps you can show partially transparently the other layers. It would also be nice if there was some music in the game (other than main menu).
I got pretty far in the game (I think). Though, I couldn't figure out how to do this level with the moving platform. A couple dimensions back there is a lower platform, but I can't jump and change the dimensions to reach the moving platform.
Thanks for taking the time to play the game. I couldn't make any music because I am terrible with music honestly. Also, due to my bad time management skills the game has almost zero polish. I will probably keep working on it as a side project and add some polish (and music maybe).
Idea with changing dimensions is really interesting but I don't really like implementation. It's just not intuitive. But there surely are people who will like this kind of game. I'm just not one of them.
Wanted to play but I'm on Mac :(. https://itch.io/jam/cgj/rate/476728
The turning speed could be faster. Sometime, I found that the color is a bit glare to me. Anyway, good job.
I would be happy if you could play my game! It's fun!
Thank you for the feedback. I do agree on the speed of turning and the movement through the planes being too slow. I will definitely try to make it better.
Sup man! Thanks for this game. The ambient music with this red cube "ENTITY_16A" reminded me the Atlas interface of No Man's Sky, is this what inspired you? I kind-of got stuck level 4 but maybe I'm just a noob lol.
Here are my feedbacks:
Overall it's a nice game, well done!
Thank you very much for the feedback. I'm glad you like it.
Very cool graphics
Bey, any macOS builds for us to play?
sure I'll try to make a Mac build and let you know if I succeed.
Awesome! You rock
Well actually I asked some people about adding extra builds for other platforms and I don't think it's allowed since the deadline is over.
Oh, that's right. We have to wait for the two week rating period. No worries!
nice idea but controls could have been better but nice game overall
thanks for the review
