I really like how you designed the ships. A short but sweet game, very good way to pass time haha. Overall I enjoyed it, good work!
Love the look! a lot of thought gone into assets use and incorporating well picked music/sounds and effects to create a well rounded and polished game with a concise theme. Interesting use of the 3d and 2d pixel art and a nice variation between dementions. Appreciate the fast upgrades and progression making it a quick playthough not letting the clicking get tedious, and the achievement screen to track progress. Would just love to see moree!!
Space Wars Rise of the Clickers has a good concept with the theme of space battles and the idea of traveling through different dimensions. However, the music at the beginning of the game is too aggressive and could use some fade-in to make it more pleasant to listen to. Additionally, the improvement of the DPS always costs 10, which is a bit disappointing and could use some increase. On the positive side, the game has great graphics with the use of voxel for the spaceships, and the music is engaging and fits the theme well. The UI is clean and well-designed, and it's great that the game includes achievements. Overall, the game has a good concept and enjoyable elements, but could use some improvements in the music and the cost of the DPS upgrade. 👍
The graphics is nice, I like how there is a character pop out when get hit.
The gamplay is simple but the music is nice, I also like how you use different music in different dimension.
The damage act as currency is a cool idea but the it makes the dps don't make too much sense when it don't deal any damage to the enemies and just "damage" on the top.
And you can basically skip the middle ship since it is very easy to get damage when the dps price don't change.
But still, nice game!
It's okay.
I like the flashy penache it has whenever it swaps dimensions.
It was rather confusing to understand at first that the ships I was buying was the full-fledged ship and it would just swap to the other one once bought, seeing as I had initially thought it were simply upgrades that upgraded my damage. So you can imagine I had wasted opportunity, as well as currency, on worthless things that had even caused me detriment.
The game has goals in mind for the player which is always nice to have, but to what end? I don't see much reason to go for achievements if they unlock nothing. Score never really matters much to me either, but that may just be because I'm a friendless clod. But I can't see how one without friends who sends eachother indie games to compete who can obtain the most score may find satisfaction out of it.
If more were to be added, I would applaud the game for it's arcadey appeal, as arcade games are nice, but it must have substance.
The idea of using damage as a currency is a conceptually interesting one. I wonder how that works in practice. :D
For the game itself, I like the aesthetic. The mix of voxel-like 3D and 2D pixel art against a backdrop of space is very visually pleasing. The music and sound effects are also well-picked, and I often found myself clicking in step with the music to combine it with the SFX. The inclusion of achievements is always appreciated.
Just some things to point out:
Overall, though, a solid entry. I just wish it was a bit longer. And though that might sound like a negative, in a weird way it's also a positive. :P
I really appreciate the comment mate!
The last achievement category is Total Damage actually, I updated the game to reflect that and noticed that there was a bug and sorted it as well. For your last comment, I do agree so I changed the settings menu just for you!! (I hope you think the new one matches more)
In terms of the first two points, I wanted the game to be "bite-sized" and completable in one session hence getting the ship quickly. I guess I didn't expect people would want longer sessions so it's definitely something I will keep into consideration for future submissions!
I'm glad you enjoyed it and thank you for the very nice comments :)
