How does your concept engage in the jam's themes?
In the real world, many people seek power over climate governance to amass significant funds, often colluding with the government to form a grey industry chain. My game involves the concept of geoengineering, which, while potentially improving climate conditions in the short term, could severely damage the climate and human rights in certain regions. Despite scientists officially declaring that geoengineering is not a wise choice, many wealthy individuals still pursue this technology. In the game, players need to take photos and collect evidence in government offices, factories, farmlands, and climate stations, exposing government corruption, the grey industry chain formed by the collusion between factories and the government, and the real climate conditions of small towns. The collected evidence will be stored in the player’s home evidence library. When enough evidence is gathered, players can choose to disclose it to different people, leading to various outcomes. Through this game, I aim to convey that real-world climate governance is complex and involves significant interests. People should not blindly trust the government and media, nor should they pin their hopes on so-called "high-tech quick fixes" for climate improvement.
Use of Theme / Inspiration
I found an article discussing the significant interests in climate governance and geoengineering. The article detailed the potential grey industry chain that might emerge. Balancing human rights with geoengineering is extremely difficult; the project requires substantial funding, and if geoengineering were abruptly stopped, the Earth could face catastrophic consequences (like in "Snowpiercer"). Importantly, geoengineering could cause severe damage to certain regions. Although scientists have proven that geoengineering is an unwise choice, media outlets still promote it online. Thus, I can merge the concepts of corrupt governments, corporations, and media into a cohesive story and world. Players will gather various pieces of evidence and interact with different characters to understand the complexity of real-world climate issues. One motivating aspect of this game is the stealth and region-specific pass systems, inspired by my love for the Hitman series.

Hi.I love you concept about geoengineering. Looking forward about the final gameplay!
The story and lore behind your game sounds very interesting. Right now the gameplay is a little vague so work on trying to flesh that out a lot.
Hi Rui! I like your concept; I'd never heard of geoengineering before now. It seems a bit light on gameplay, but if the story and visuals are compelling enough, I don't see that as a problem.
