How does your concept engage in the jam's themes?
At Least I'm Rich engages in the themes of climate change by placing players in the shoes of massive corporate entities and asking them "How much money can you make?" The catch is that every time a factory or supermarket returns a reward to the player, it also dishes out damage to the climate, creating an inherent riskiness to being on top. The game also allows players to "change the story" by offering more green ways of winning, through the use of "go green" actions and unique player bonuses.
Use of Theme / Inspiration
Our game is compelling as it encourages players to think critically about the products and companies they choose to support. It also provides players with the unique opportunity for players to engage critically with the climate crisis as they step into the shoes of some of the greatest contributors. The game begs the question to players: "How far are you willing to go?" Our game's art direction emphasizes the themes of industrialization and exploitation through the use of an early 20th-century propaganda artwork style. We are excited to explore our game's possibilities as a project where the thesis is baked into the game mechanics, rather than solely relying on a narrative to tell a story.

Masking the total environment resilience is a great idea, very true to life. As well as your shoot the moon mechanism of flipping the scoring mechanism if the threshold is reached.
One other thing you have going for you is that monochromatic art style. You can use it to give the player visual feedback on their progress or effect by shifting the hue on a gradient. If you did the art initially on a greyscale and then applying color based on impact or score, maybe between red and green or whatever then brightness or contrast based on money or whatever.
I'm also curious if adding a random element like the cards payouts and penalties are on a range with a dice roll. Things to think about .
I like the premise of shifting the story to "how can corporations do better?" A great take on this year's theme!
This looks very neat, the tone of the game is especially unique and got a chuckle out of me. I think the biggest thing here that you'd want to look out for is not ballooning the amount of cards, but this looks solid!
Great presentation of ideas and interesting concept for the game! I'm not sure if the connection to changing the story given enough weight, the little wink is cute, but that dimension of the concept could be elaborated on further. Regardless, I'm excited to see where it goes.
Cool idea. Simple but Deep mechanics. The core gameplay seems straightforward, but players need to make complex decisions. Player need to play this with strategy.
I like the concept and art style you guys came up with! The mechanic that whoever did the least damage to the environment wins if its health reaches 0 is a really good one for this theme. I would definitely give this card game a try if I saw it in stores! Overall, sounds like a really cool game!
Sounds like a really cool entry! Definitely something I could see myself picking up for a family card game night. The art style is also a very cool choice. Can't wait to see how it turns out!
