How does your concept engage in the jam's themes?
It changes the story by taking a realistic approach to lessening new manufacturing and minimizing carbon emissions by recycling existing items into something new. It focuses on cleaning up your surroundings, producing and selling locally, and improving your community.
Use of Theme / Inspiration
We find the break away from being too gloomy or too rosy very compelling. The first approach makes you feel like there is nothing you can do to make the world better. The second approach trivializes how difficult meaningful change is to make. We incorporated this aspect of the theme by trying to be as realistic as possible. We were inspired by @Wood_Mood’s plastic bottle beanie, Campanópolis in Argentina, and our local makerspace, SnoCo Makerspace. Real change has to be made globally and on a community level, so we wanted to show what that might look like.

Your production is super organized and the concept is very well thought out. With the outline and mechanics of the game written out so clearly so far and I can't wait to see this game!
Games about manufacturing can be fun and engaging, like for example Minecraft. If you manage to bring down the scope it might get fun to play. Right now it is a bit hard to understand the game play.
This game design document provides readers with a robust understanding of this game's direction. The game provides a unique take on the theme, and it tracks well with the game jam's motivations. The production plan is also clear, and outlines many of the items that this team needs to complete. Overall, this is a strong entry, and I'm excited to see where the game goes.
Two notes for this team. First, I don't believe the document references sound effects or music. This will be important to consider as you move forward, since sound can complement the gameplay. Second, the team should remain mindful of scope as they move forward. There are several mechanics listed on the production plan that, on reading the document, feel like they may be secondary. I would try to determine early on the order in which some mechanics may be cut in the event of a time crunch.
Wishing you the best as we move forward!
