How does your concept engage in the jam's themes?
By teaching the player and protagonist that taking the easy way out won't help solve climate change, we can create a narrative about reframing your thinking, while simultaneously creating a fun roguelike.

Use of Theme / Inspiration
To us, "Change the story" meant reframing our protagonist's (and by extension the player's) thinking in how we can combat climate change. To the protagonist, it's a battle. If he's strong enough, he can defeat Climate Change as an enemy. However, he soon realizes it's not so simple and instead thinks about it as a puzzle that needs to be solved. We hope this will reflect real-world attitudes and help reframe the issue in other people's minds. We are also inspired by the films Wall-E and The Lorax as great examples of powerful climate fiction.

Looking really solid i think once you get some of the enemys more in stone you guys will be perfect, i enjoyed your ocncept art aswell so i think this will turn out great! For the upgrades do those make the robot less friendly of the enviorment ? And for your procedural world i was wondering how yall planned on making that terrain work out as i havent done procedural stuff yet and it seems super interesting. I think your game will be fun and hopefully even after the game jam yall continue to work on it as it would be one i would play to relax!

As a fan of rogue-like games, I like the idea of combining a climate-themed story with this gameplay! Very excited and can’t wait to play this game!

Eco-friendly vs polluting weapons is a cool trade off, and the narrative surprise after your first win reminds me a lot of the how the game changes after your first few wins in The Binding of Isaac.
